These arent computerised rankings like Boxrec These are Personal rankings from ESB British boxing fans....just cos the decision was awarded doesnt mean you have to accept it Fury didnt win, everyone knows he didnt win so why move him up. The rankings become as **** as the crap decisions if you just accept every robbery awarded
I made this point after Gevor beat Sturm but he never moved above Sturm. At the end of the day, Fury may not have deserved to have won, but he did so his ranking should change accordingly. Like Gaz said, recognise the win but don't swap them like-for-like.
What happens when theres (say) a draw that some agree with and some don't? It'll end up an inconsistant PITA to sort out. I know what you're saying and I'd agree in an ideal world but I think its easier to keep consistancy/ accountability this way.
Yeah but when EVERYBODY thinks the other guy won its not quite the same as a debateable decision where I agree we should go by Boxrec. BTW, more people seemed to give Sturm the fight (I don't know how) than Fury, its not even on that level of bull****. Strikes me as just being 'official' for the sake of it to the detriment of the rankings.
There would be no movement......pretty simple. This isnt a case where some agree and some dont..everyone agrees. Im not talking about moving McDermott up or Moving Fury down. It should stay the same. Like I said I thought these were just personal rankings of like minded fans. We're not some official body who needs to accept results...just fans opinions, or thats what it should be
Theres a few people in the RbR who had it a draw or even Fury by 1, granted they are wrong but its still their opinion. The rankings are done by concensus/ committee and I think its asking for trouble to start second guessing decisions.
Considering Dan went on 4 tours to Afghanistan and Iraq, I'd say that was a pathetic arguement. This bitching needs to stop, especially considering he's not here to defend himself, as it's very petty, IMO.
