after watching tonights fight in my humble opinion the ref should be looking after the fighters safety not scoring the fight should we keep going with this ancient system or move with the times

    hell yeah

I can't believe we still have this dinosour practice its outragious, you can't ask a ref to score as well as do his job as an official competently its ridiculous and makes it even more easier to bride as its only one person, imagina joe cortez refing as well as scoring there'd be no point in turning up. I've lost count of the amount of times i've seen refs F up the scoring its atrocious.

we need to get rid of this and another one which is not even going to the scorecrads after 4 rounds in the case of an accidental clash of heads but awarding a victory to the fighter who lucky survives a gash (you couldn't make it up) its just a lottery, remember that kid on ITV4 who was winning got a headbutt but lost the fight because of this pathetic rule.

Refs scoring fights is a joke. May have well have the purse winning promoter score the fight.

Judges to score all title fights. Having been on the wrong end of two shitty 10 rounders and a couple of close shorter distance fights its heart breaking when you know you've won. You watch a fight on video after- and there's nothing you can do about it. Other then accept the refs dec. How they can ref and score at the same time is beyond me. Surely with the adrenalin going they only remember the last minute of any round. Perhaps if you watch the last minute of each round last night you might find how Terry got his card.

As for the cuts rule. That needs to change too. The BBBC are scared of no contests- its silly. Time to move forward.

Three judges to score all title fights and 10-12 rounders.

Single judge for all other fights.

We need some new officials though, and those officials need to be held accountable.

Is there anything wrong with the BBBoC publishing the scorecards post fight?

Apparently that fat ref has done 2/3 matches of mcdermott previously which resulted in fat mac losing. That ref o connor is a disgrace. No way fury won that fight. he looked shocked when declared the winner.

The BBBC are the biggest $ankers ever. They condone dodgy referees and judges like no mans business. I remember after the Wharton - Fidel Castro Smith fight I contacted the BBBC about Larry O'****s shitty scoring and they just backed him up. Blood *******s the lot of them. Fighters put a lot of time and effort in preparing for fights and then these dirty corrupt buggers fck things up. I have never been a fan of Big John D but the guy deserved the decision last night.

I agree... Promoters should be able to appy for the scorecards under the Freedome of Information Act surely as fights are contractual betwee the sanctioniong body and the 2 promoters and fighters...:think

I agree... Wholesale changes are needed bigtime....MAB v Khan was a good example where the fight should have been a No Contest IMO...:yep

Yes. They scrapped them from scoring British title fights years ago, so why not these?
