....stop making stuff up. The WBA didn't allow their title holders to also hold the WBO belt. That's why DM was stripped.

Sure, just take your time and send the link.

From the side point of view, do you think that the quote from DelVelle
(a guy who was supposedly ducked by DM) is trustful in this matter?
... in other words is DelVelle's word more reliable than Wikipedia?

Maybe you have any official link from WBA site or someone
more objective in this matter than DelVelle himself?

bogus?...:patsch...the WBO belt was obviously the most legitimate title @ 175 lbs during that period.

You may be right, after the whole problems with WBA striping for nothing (wearing other
belts), WBC striping rightful champions awarding the belts
on the table for others, WBO might be the most consistent along them.

The WBO is a bogus belt. DM kept it because his promoter has major control over that sanctioning body.(see Rocjy I fightr for instance)

They could have kept the IBF and WBA belts but chose it the safe way and continue fighting in their backyard. That is the truth.

Nevertheless, RJ should have fought DM who was linear champ and undefeated. Whose fault was it? It was probably 50/50 as RJ from his bad experience from the olympics would not go to Germany and DM would not leave his background.

Even more so, because DM was active at the time. DM did not lose the title in the ring. RJJ was happy to pick up the vacant titles.

Indeed, Calazghe versus Erdei would have been for the WBO, Ring and Linear title.

    Or

    Dawson, IBF/Cloud.
    Pascal, WBC.
    Campillo, WBA.

    Which is the best???

I would favor Calzaghe over everybody except Dawson.
As for Erdei ... you know he is istil unbeaten? ...
of course his opposition is weak but ... it gotta be proved that
he is not real deal - thats the beauty of liner champion,
you have to beat him in the ring to prove otherwise
and it is really surprising ANYBODY from the list you provided
NEVER called Erdei out or even tried to send him an offer.

How do you keep your belt when it is stripped from you the second you win it???

I guess since some people here dont like him they also find it acceptable that he had to defend 30 days after unifying 3 titles.

1lehudson should either stfu with his claims about DM & jibes about wikipedia, or post a source. I have most of the ring & boxing news mags from that period & don't recall anything about DM being stripped because he stated he wouldn't be defending the wba title against Del Valle.

He never has and never will. His source is his own ****ing conspiracy theories.I mean he is speaking of Del Valle as if he were James Toney or something.

He comes with all kinds of BS which is why i captured one of his gems in my sig below.Dude makes up off the wall **** so i decided to capture it.Of course you can guess why he made such a comment in my sig(because of who is at top).Still waiting on that breakdown on how Kessler and Bute could EASILY move to CW and DOMINATE.
