No comments on his ripping apart of Mayweather? Not saying he's wrong, Mayweather doesn't engage... but what does this say about a Pac/PBF fight? He's going to have a rough time promoting it if he's on record saying "it'll be boring and no one will want to watch". Maybe it's just early bargaining, but he really doesn't sound interested in that fight.

He should get a job doing voice work. He'd be a great cartoon character voice.

I'm not sure about this one, but I think HBO releases the numbers to many boxing fights.

 

HBO never released **** because they would first need Top Rank to release the numbers to them, and Bob never releases any numbers, he just lets it slip to the media, and they run with it.

400K for Cotto-Marg was probably around 250K.
800K for Pac-Hatton was probably around 500K.

Either way, Floyd sells more.

I've been saying all along what Arum is sayinh even though i dont' really care for him. MMA and boxing are not competing. they each have there own separate audience. The boxing fans will watch the Mayweather fight and the MMA fans will watch the UFC fight. there are more than enough hoseholds for both to get there numbers. I think this alleged competition between the 2 sports is greatly overblown out of proportion by the media.

Go watch the edition of Sports Science that addressed this as a myth. Also, I have been in the dressing room for many pro boxing and MMA hand wraps. The boxing wraps allow 3 times the amount of tape and the boxers hands are much harder, fact!

A google search will quickly reveal that Don King and Golden Boy are already involved in MMA and Oscar is a big fan with many future plans for it. Freddie Roach is also very interested in its future and even trains MMA fighters.

Oh and yeah MMA attracts skinhead scumbags but ugly tattoos and bald heads dont make one a skinhead. Arum is also offending a lot of high school athletes with his dirty little mind-associating wrestling with homosexuality.
