****ing hell! Kessler fights a limited mandatory after an 11 month lay off, scores the "KO" in the fourth and now some people are doubting his chances in the super six :rofl

He didn't see the punches coming, he didn't even look up, he was out and looking down, no defensive movements just holding the hands up helpless, still getting caught by right hands.

He was out, but if you want to hear this, yeah he didn't get KTFO for better entertainment value, so you could say it was stopped premature. It wasn't no Manfredo hurt but conscious, he was out, the ropes kept him up and fell down helpless when the ref stepped in. You gotta see the difference.

    1. He didn't drop two rounds.
    2. Even if he did drop two rounds, it's hardly surprising as he wasn't throwing anything, just sizing his man up.

Kessler picked the guy off and then started landing cleaner shots around rounds 3 and 4. Perdomo was made to pay for his mistakes and Kessler's power and Perdomo's chin made for an early finish.

Arthur Abraham has scraped through against much lesser opposition, and Carl Froch has gone life and death twice in a row. Considering the layoff, MK's performance was accomplished and convincing.

    He's still my No. 1.

I thought Mikkel looked pretty rusty, Perdomo was ready to be taken out in rd 1. Dude was a straight up tomato can.

Kess started looking better the end of the 3rd going into the 4th.. he knew Perdomo was a can and did what he had to to take him out.

It was a pointless fight, but he did what he needed to do by taking him out.

Perdomo should just take a knee to eight...But he just let his hands fell down and stod wide open. But then again maybe the ref. should have let him get KOed...

Atleast Perdomo won second round, and was stopped a bit too early, so maybe that can get him fights as a journeyman!?

I didn't think the stoppage was early. At most the ref could maybe have given Perdomo a standing count and seen how he was after it but even if he had Perdomo still looked stunned a couple of minutes after it was called off. He wasn't defending himself against the ropes and the ref definately had to do something.

Rusty? Perdomo was a live if limited challenger, who moved his head on the way in, had decent handspeed and potshotted unpredictably. Kessler won all the rounds in my opinion; but, at the very least, he took two rounds to adjust and start counter-punching effectively and landing crisp, hard shots. Kessler smoked the chump in 4 rounds, and we're debating about whether he's lost everything? Gimme a break.

If that's what counts as a rusty performance, then AA and Froch would be considered shot.

From a ten month layoff with legal trouble, beat your mando by stoppage in four rounds = washed up...

    Oh dear!

I was just saying that's the only other thing I could see could do, in response to those saying it was an early stoppage. I don't think he should have, just what was he meant to do other than stop it when Perdomo wasn't fighting back.
