Funnily enough, this was one of the fights I put in a list in my GF thread about guaranteed barnburners that could be made in boxing today.

Gonzalez is very big at the weight; he could easily move up, and he surely will.

I couldn't see that fight going the full 12:hey

PS: Regarding the Canchila fights, I think Segura fell into a false sense of security in the first one, having had Canchila down early doors and established a good lead. In the second fight he just kept his foot on the gas from the off, and even though the stoppage was a bull**** call Segura was in a massive early lead at the time.

Still love to see Gonzalez vs Joyi at Straw.

Anyway, Segura will come out all guns blazing, the question is whether Gonzalez can take it? Gonzalez keeps his hands high most of the time by the looks of things which is a good start. He will have to show immense power early on to keep Segura off of him, which he may well have. I'm SURE he has the power to keep Segura smart. Canchila however seemed a solid hitter and he couldn't keep him off.

Gonzalez has shown decent technique thus far, if he can brave the early storm and employ decent movement he may well be able to land his own effective body shots and slow Segura down enough to take it down the stretch and secure a late stoppage.

Hope it happens. Hope Calderon beats Mayol tonight, though it will be noe easy task, Mayol showed in their 1st meeting he has the style to give Calderon trouble.

Hopefully Calderon will fight Viloria afterwards and we can see the division start to hot up. But as you said, Gonzalez will surely move up soon.
