Like the otherday when I asked about what was going on with Derek Chisora, what's Mc****'s going on with Kevin Mitchell?

Last I heard was on BBH, he claimed he was going to be challenging Rocky Martinez for his WBO belt at the o2 arena. Then, puft, nowt.

Whenever I saw young Kevin fight, whilst having a little niavety about him, I liked him muchos. That fight againt Yorkshire Carl on the Haye v Maccarinelli undercard was awesome. Then I recall him fighting in Atlantic City then getting injured.

So what's going on with him?

Are either of those two really ready for a world title shot?

I'm not an advocate of the WBO title - in fact I think it's a joke but anyways.....

Mitchell has been largely inactive of late and is 18 months away from a meaningful fight... whereas Burns has rebounded well from some disappointing losses and is on the rise....

I suppose it is a cross roads fight for both guys, but I wouldn't stick the winner in with Martinez yet, even though he was being outboxed by Cook before catching him.

That fight at the 02 with Johannsen was awesome, great entertainment. Almost made waiting for 2 hours for a taxi after worthwhile.

I've not seen enough of Martinez to have a good idea of whether Rickster or Kev could beat him but I'd have them both a couple fights away from a world tite TBH.

But if having a couple fights for Mitchell takes a couple years then pitch him in I guess.

fullest of respect to nicky cook,he showed ricky and kevin how to beat martinez when he fought him until he got caught, people have disagreed with me but if you get involed with martinez i think the guys a very correct and clinical puncher, but a clever box fighter could out think him

I'd definitely agree with that Billy, in fact I'd say a clever box-puncher would stand Martinez on his head. He is certainly there to be taken.
