At the beginning of every round he put his gloves out to tap gloves with Margorito. That's fine. What is funny though at the end of the 8th round after knocking Margorito down and Margorito got up obviously still on shakey feet, Shane Mosley put his hands out to tap gloves and Margorito actually tapped his gloves. :bart There is just something about it that doesn't seem right. A boxer is out on his feet on his way to the corner and you are tapping his gloves.:huh Thoughts?
I know what you're sayin' but I really think its just Mosley being a class act boxer...Certain others I might question...
Lol i noticed that to, i thought i was the only one. Margarito had no idea where he was, was stumbling all over the place and Mosley just casually walks to him taps gloves and proceeds to his corner.
Still with that ****? Do you not remember at the weigh-in that Cintron leaned in on Margarito during the face-off and then made a slashing sign across his throat? Well I do. So if you are going to do that, you'd better be able to back it up in the ring, which Cintron couldn't. Margarito has never done that before and that doesn't seem to be his nature; however, Cintron had it coming for pushing his nose against Margarito's.
No if you go back and check Shane's other fights he does that often really. Some times the other boxer will do it too and some times they won't.
Shane was sayin' this is just business, don't take this ass whooping personal. I'm about to knock you out and even though you tried to cheat I still like you.:rofl:rofl
I thought he was giving acknowledgement that Tony actually got up and was willing to continue, similar to glove taps with Oscar after good exchanges. A show of respect to a game fighter. It seems a real long stretch to interpret it as anything derisive.
Margarito showed al ot of respect too.....I don't think Margarito had any feelings apart from respect for the one man who could knock him out.
