For all you haters out there these we're called key word here : TUNE UPS !! Man people go overboard on this **** !
I am not saying that the stoppage was bad so please Ward fans dont mis read what I am saying but as an official it looks bad, He should have stopped it earlier as it was clear that kid was not going to fight back didnt try to fight back and was basicly sooner or later going to get hurt badly. Love the left hooks to the body, those are key in the Kessler fight.
Who's hating here? I'm just saying the same as you do. These two fights mean nothing. I like Ward a lot. Some people were just too enthusiastic about Ward's win.
:goodThis only second time I REALLY got to see Ward, so I'm not a big fan..YET. I understand better though what you meant...You were sayin' Ward should NOT HAVE HAD TO ask Russell to do what he should have already done?
Kinda, what I am saying is had this fight been any where near close it just wouldnt look good for the ref to jump in and call it off when Ward basicly told him to. The ref should have called it off before that point or when he noticed ward calling him to call it off, he should have taken a little more time before he did this way people cant say the ref did this or that or the other, basicly it looks bad when a fighter tells the ref how to do his job. Whats worse is when the ref actually listens.
I wouldnt say that neither we just dont know, I think they are both pretty even with each other honestly.
Like when Ricky was tellin' the ref what to do in the Kostya fight...:yep I feel ya now. Make folks think Ward and officials in Oakland are up to some ol' shady ****.
Damn, I wish there'd been a Sticky thread EARLIER today sayin' if Ward doesn't take this dude down in less than 2 minutes, don't dare compliment his hand speed.
Exactly and especially here in California where there is a Bad rep out here with the commission anyways.... it was in Temecula which is in southern cal far away from Oakland but still it just dotn look right.
I've only seen the end of the Kessler fight on youtube so far. I'd be a little concerned by the IF. After he had Perdermo hurt and against the ropes he seemed unable to hit a stationary target. Go look how many wild punches he threw and missed against a target that was basically stationary and defenseless. The guy should be too seasoned to go wild like that.
