Though I have much respect for the work in the ring by Ivan Calderon, I think he will be highly overlook at the end of his career, just like Ricardo Lopez, because of the weight division's lack of highlight.

 

Ricardo Lopez is not overlooked at all. Everyone who is aware of him (which is pretty much everyone by now) heaps praise on him. Quite a bit too much, if you ask me. Calderon simply isn't that level of fighter, though. If anything, the weight class and era he's fought in have done a lot more to enhance his status than anything else.

 

I love watching Calderon. One of my favorites. Is he the best Puerto Rican boxer ever?????? Not even close. He is good at what he does. But there has been others. If you are too young to remember I suggest you do a search and educate yourself.
