Kessler is only a slight favourite imo and Ward has the right style to give him fits. 1st round banana skin right there.
Yeah... ... Kessler was looking pretty accurate on Saturday... Against Mundine as well. :rofl:rofl:rofl
so after stopping Froch, Taylor, Abraham, Ward and Dirrell, when exactly will he stop himself? don't be a ****. in perdermo kessler beat someone who hasn't really fought anyone half as good as the fellow tournament members, and who has lost twice previously doing so. anyone who gets excited about that fight should remember the key word: TUNE UP. it is very rare for a champion to fight a tune up against someone half decent, especially if it would risk his place in this lucrative tournament.
As i saw it, Ward likes the distance to be inside one step. Kessler fights at a 1,5 to 2 steps distance. And Kessler throws 1-2 accurate and strait punches. Miranda -well he doesn't.
Kessler's accuracy will be put to test. His overall ability as well. We'll see if his holes don't sink him.
:good nicely put. I'm hoping and cheering for Froch but were I a betting man by 10p would be on Kessler.
What a joke. Andrade took Kessler the distance and Sartison almost took Kessler 12 rounds and he isn't anywhere near as talented as Ward, Froch, Abraham, Taylor or Dirrell. Ridiculous comment IMO.
kessler knocks out absolute garbage in his fights...but when he steps up against anyone they go the distance...how do you figure? hes not fighting guys like Pedermo, Haussler, and Sartison
This tournament is going to catapult two young Americans, Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell, to the top of the game. Notice the similarities between Ward and Calzaghe, Dirrell and Ali. Next year everyone is going to put Ward and Dirrell on their p4p lists. Can't you guys see these things before they happen?
This post ends the discussion for me :good. All the fighters in the super six have strengths and weaknesses. I'd love to see the odds on Kessler KO'ing all his opponents - it just won't happen. What will happen when he comes up against Froch, for example, who will just to continue to put pressure on him, round after round, rather than falling over in round 3? Thats what makes the tournament so exciting - all the fighters have the ability to beat each other.
kessler should win the whole tournament with ease, but you can never underestimate any of the other five.
I haven't yet seen Ward, but out of all the others, I'd tip Kessler to beat them and beat them rather well. I'd expect him to stop Froch and Taylor. Taylor will probably start out well, but Kessler's constant pressure and accuracy will be too much for him, and he'll be outta there within 8. Froch will get Andrade's against him, and will probably fall within 10. Abraham will probably stick around for the whole 12 though, but I'd expect Kess to win reasonably comfortably on points. Who else is in the tournament?
