Can Hill negate Pattersons hand speed? Patterson, pre-prime tackling Hill, who undoubtedly spent his best years at this weight? 12 rounds, no reason no vote :good
Patterson by a close, hard decision. Just being in a lighter weight division dosen't mean a knockout evry time out, as Floyd discovers. Hill moves and scores with his fast jab, but Patterson's strength and flurries win the fight for him.
I see Hill's left jab being an offsetter for a couple of rounds before Patterson's hand speed and leaping left hook come into play. No matter how amateurish that delivery was, I don't see Virgil solving it. Patterson over 12 rounds. Scartissue
speed power do go to patterson but hill was defensively sound, hill goes down in the later part of the fight but gets up to last the distance but goes down by ud
Floyd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2WJEqCE1bA Hill (to show people he CAN punch pretty good when he wants to) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG-r7UBCBcY&feature=related
Patterson for me, Hill was a quality boxer, but i don't think it's a great gameplan against the type of fighter that Patterson is, Floyd would use his bursts of offensive to belt out a decision imo.
Overall Patterson was rated as a better fighter. But I don't see a pre-prime fighter like Patterson defeating a seasoned Champion as Hill with the numerous title defenses as Virgil had. Hill finds a way & gets the decision nod in this one.
