    Hasn't he already fought Swaby?
Anyway i do find it a bit hard to take him seriously he definately isn't what he claims to be in interviews and his dad is a complete idiot.
But from his boxing point of view i think he would do well to get a good trainer to help him use his height and reachm and to stay fighting guys of the mcdermott level. He'll actually learn something fighting them and hone his skills witch will eventually help him when he steps up (if he proves to be good enough.)

whats so special about him hes a young fighter with average skill time isnt going to change anything he engulfs and suffacates his opponents with his sheer size a bit like valuev theres nothing outstanding in his game nothing that would indicate he'll have something going on if he were to fight some 1 equivalent to an arreolla, samuel peters or even a james toney
when he fights its like watching brownian moation hes so bloody sluggish
i agree 8 fights or 18 fights if your grinding out controvertial points wins over sub level journeymen you better think again before u try and compare yourself to george foreman or michael spinks :yep

Agree with all of that:good. He's exciting as well and he proved against McDermott (forget the result) that he could take a shot and can also dig deep when he has to.

No, he'll lose to anyone who fights back and did against McDermott. He cuffs his shots, has no defence and the shameful journeymen he fought should of exposed it.

Plus he has no power for ****!

Hes 21 and turned pro 9 whole months ago for **** sake...

Boxers 9 months in on there career have usually had 3 fights against complete jokers with a combined record of 15-150 or something.

John McDermott is a tough man and Fury wasnt ready for him.

It will take so so much work for him to even reach Euro level, new trainer and new fitness regime. If he works really hard at it he can do something...If he keeps up this pathetic 'im better than anyone else' attitude he'll likely fail.

So yeah I take him seriously....he obviously wants to test himself and he has been a massive breath of fresh air in our domestic scene.

I'd find it easier to take him seriously if he was in better shape.

His lack of skill is quite obvious. He will never exceed British level fights let alone Euro level. He has no KO power and his boxing ability is not much to shout about. The likes of Rogan, Skelton, Williams and Audley H would all beat him easily.

I don't think a lack of skill is obvious. It's obvious he's badly trained but IMHO he has decent raw attributes. Again, IMHO I think he proved on Friday night he'll exceed British level.

    Not after Friday night.

You could say it was a bad day at the office but he didn't trouble McDermot once and he was continually picked off during the course of the fight. Despite having a 10" reach advantage he allowed his man to get on the inside and tag him with great ease.

Vlad and Wlad can rest easy.

I take him seriously as a good prospect, he could likely dominate domestically if he keeps improving and gets in better shape. And stopped that ****ing twitching.

I don't take him seriously when he talks though.

Put succinctly, not at all. NOT AT ALL. Why can't most people see the plethora of basic boxing mistakes he makes in every fight. He isn't developing and believes his own hype more than Audley did!

Age is no defence here. He is 100% hype. ANY big hitting and mobile heavy will school him and make him look amateurish. His only chance is to move gyms, and bar that chav father of his and his old amateur team.:bbb
