Arthur should be an ambassador to the United Nations, born in Armenia, living in Germany, has fought in Switzerland then to the states and now fighting in the UK, when did that happen?:huh

He beat Winky and it was a good win but he was off for a VERY long time and has been known as feather fisted, what has Paul Williams done at MW to make you think he easily annihilates Felix Sturm, Anthony Mundine, Gevor or Sylvester? I am not saying he loses to them, but you make it sound WAAAAAY to easy, all the above I mentioned have been in there with decent to good competition.
1.Sturm: Gevor, Sylvester and even De la hoya(most thougth he won)
    2.Mundine:Kessler
3.Gevor: gave aa his toughest fight, controversial loss to sturm, beat akinainen(spelling)
4.Sylvester: fought sturm, castilejo, askinainen x2
Not trying to be a troll but beating Andy Kolle at MW, and Winky after a 2 year layoff does not mean he steamrolls the MW division with the confidence you exert with your question.

Sturm? Damn near lost to Gevor. Williams KO in 7-9.

Gevor:patsch That dude is 5' 8" with a 47% KO ratio. Williams would spark has ass quick.

Sylvester, 5' 7", 44% KO ratio, Simon was competetive wth him. Williams would terrorize this guy.

    Mundine is washed up.

as much as i dont like pavlik, i cant stand the guy, paul williams is a genetic freak, but that does not make him a true middleweight, i dont care how you size it up.....he is a big WW or natural jr. MW.....if pavlik walks threw what williams throws, i see paul getting hurt, and hurt badly.....

i will be supporting paul though

I haven't been to box-rec to verify, but I'm almost certain PW started at MW for up to 14 fights, then started boiling his way down to WW. He's ranked #1 @ JMW and last I saw #5 @ MW in the Rings Rankings. I mean come on now!

Not to mention Paul has been toyin' with 168 and 175 with different opponents there. Dude can certainly fight at 160 and IMO looks ALL AROUND better at that weight as he fills out good, etc.. At WW, no disrespect, but he looked like Skeletor!

Williams by wide decision. His extremely high workrate and unorthodoxy will offset Pavlik's rhythm inside and out, and I think he has the durability to deal with most of what Pavlik dishes out when he's able to get off. We'll find that out when they fight, but based on styles I'd have to go with Williams clearly.

Thanks. It all comes down to how Williams deals with his power the way I see it. If he can take it, as I said I think he has the tools necessary to off-set and outwork Pavlik. If not, he could go out by the mid rounds. You never really know in the fight game.

This is the biggest money fight either guy can get right now. HBO is footing the bill. Not much else to it really.
