    Listen m8 he was Irish and thats that.I didnt see a union jack over his shoulders in beijing.

    A lot of Brits feel attatched to him given that he was based here for his pro career.

    Either way I couldn't give a **** right now, at the end of the day he was a fantastic boxer and a great guy, RIP Darren.

    Yeah dont get me wrong he is an Irishman but I'd like to think of him that way. I believe he represented Great Britain at the Olympics anyway but even if he didnt I always wanted him to succeed. In a similar way I was always proud of Steve Collins. Mind you I have got Irish roots maybe thats it.
