you need to break out of this 'myth' that calzaghe was avoided.

its a very naaive point of view and its ironic since that the lesser known fighter internationally always has to do the work to make his fight against higher profile fighters.

Yep. Exactly. Toney moved his ass up from MW/SMW to HW so he shouldn't have to face Calzaghe. That must be the reason, right...

Maybe you should just concentrate on changing your avatar every single day, Anglosaxon. I'm sure you've got several hundreds of self-portraits on your PC, so you shouldn't run out of avatars...

Ok an inspired Toney probably beats calzaghe at sm,BUt the uninspired lh version was talented but lazy and calzaghe would outhustle him and win a comfortable decision.I think Toney was a helluva a fighter, but because he had no discipline the fat slob is not as great as he thinks, could have been a more highly regarded fighter than he was hes lost quite a few fights that he shouldnt have.He should just keep his mouth shut, cuz roy jones ***** slapped him and if you ask just about any boxing fan Hopkins will go down as a much more accomplished fighter than Toney,Calzaghe too.

No, it seems Toney is desperate for some publicity.

Who has any respect for that morbidly overweight, drugcheating trashtalking gorilla these days anyway?

People are hilarious, this is why people say boxing is dying, because there are no more characters in the sport, the heavy division is bad but im pretty sure it would be respected if the current champ had some personality. I like Wlad but boxing is a product, you have to sell yourself, David Haye has people believing hes the **** even though hes barely had any heavyweight fights and you got Wlad whos dominiating mofos and nobody gives a rats ass because hes boring as **** to watch. Not knocking him because I like his demeanor but still, that doesnt do **** when it comes to drawing fans.

Wow, just as well we have James 'the overweight drugcheating trashtalking sack of ****' Toney around to make up for the boring role models in our sport

Role models, arent you a grown man, why the **** do you need to look up to any of these guys. Even at 40 something or whatever james is, people would rather pay to watch him fight a faded roy jones now than any wlad fight. I dont get why people have to get up in arms over some trash talk.

Ya gotta take these Toney comments with a grain of salt. He's one of the best of his generation, but he's punch drunk! I mean Roy destroyed him!

Prime for Prime Toney vs Hopkins would be very interesting and in is prime, Toney would whip the floor with Calzaghe. but none of this matters now.

If Joe fought Toney over the last 5 years, he'd pitty pat him to death en route to a UD. Who cares. Toney is a heavyweight, he's 41 and he aint getting another shot at the heavyweight title, so he's going after other guys from his generation. he's the games best **** talker
