I just might do that mate. I have been trying to land an interview with him for a couple of years now, but he is quite difficult to get in touch with.

Hey Charles - you might be interested to know that Hoppa has just been confirmed to be fighting Colin Wilson on the Tua - Cameron undercard.
Any ideas where this leaves Chauncy?

Damn, I didn't know that. Not sure, but I will email Chauncy tonight and see what's gonna happen now.

Maybe he could pick up a fight against Meehan? Or maybe Ahunanya?

Just emailed him. When he responds, I am definitely going to ask him about Meehan. That would be a great fight for Chauncy in that if he won, he would go right up the heavyweight ladder.

Sweet as, I've been swapping a few emails with Ahunanya's trainer lately, he says they'd be happy to fight Chauncy, something about some sparring they did back in the day?
Anyway it looks like the fights are there for guys that want them...

:think Interesting...that could produce on hell of a war. I will mention this to Chauncy as well.

I'm a bit pissed of that Hoppa has taken this fight TBH - We know he was offered Meehan, Chauncy, Ahunanya and I heard the Rahman fight as well.
Fair enough about avoiding Rahman, who would've given him a bigger beating than McCall. And Meehan is probably too experienced and skilled as well.
I reckon he turned down Chauncy because he realises he'd look bad in there with Chauncy no matter what the outcome.
And he probably turned down Ahunanya for fear getting KTFO again.
But if he wants to be taken seriously he needs to beat guys like Chauncy and Ahunanya. Not saying he would - only that he should try.

Agreed in that he needs to take bigger names and risks than fighting Colin Wilson. I actually think that Chauncy would have beaten Hoppa on points to be honest. Hoppa seems to like to brawl and has a good punch, but Chauncy's chin is incredible. He can't be put down with anything. The Solis stoppage was premature bs.

I think Chauncy would have given him hell, and I hope Wilson does the same.
Sadly big Col is past his best, and if he continues to decline he could find himself getting beaten by guys like Hoppa, who he would have absolutely destroyed in his prime.
Yeah the Solis stoppage was early IMO But you have to admit that Chauncy was tiring bythat stage and more and more shots were getting through...

Agreed on all points. As for Chauncy, yes, I agree as well, he was getting tired. But I still believe that he could have gone the distance. The only reason he was getting tired was because he only got two weeks notice for that fight and about 10 days of training. If Chauncy had had more time to train for that fight, I truly believe he would have schooled Solis. He is much better than people give him credit for.

I was going to say Col is never an easy beat.....I think Hoppa will win but not to be taken easy.

So who is Rahman gonna fight on the undercard?

Or is he gonna fight at all?
