Sorry, didn't realise this thread already existed. Shocking news. R.I.P to one of boxing's most exciting prospects.
This guy looked a certain world champ, better prospect than James Degale in most people opinion. R.I.P
I was so shocked when I heard about this last night. I was really looking forward to his next fight. What a prospect! He was really special. Gutted! RIP Darren
I just can't believe this. I was numb when I read it this morning. Watching him do our little country so proud in Beijing I was so sure he'd be a megastar some day. As pro prospects go he had it all. the crowd-pleasing style, the knock out power, the looks, the charisma the personality etc etc. A true gentleman by all accounts. I was looking forward to following his career from the ground floor all the way to the top. RIP champ. thanks for the memories.
-------------------------------- Lets remember the way he lived and hopefully see some sort of tribute at one of the next fights in Ireland!
I remember watching him at the olympics thinking he was the best professional hopefull with Vasyl Lomachenko. I really think he had what it took to become a very good champion. It's just not fair, rest in peace Sutherland.
