how would taylor do in the super six with emanuel steward in his corner?

There have been hints that when it gets right down to it, JT doesn't like to do the hard training, especially roadwork. It shows and you can't blame anyone but JT for that.

 

i'm not bashing manny at all i just think there are better trainers out there for taylor

 

The better fit for Taylor is Nasim Richardson. I could Richardson improve Taylor in a big way like he did for Mosley.

 

nasim is more of a philisophical trainer who is gonna get your mojo back for you .. taylor needs someone who is gonna exploit his offense and allow him to go in there and do what he does best...

And thats what Taylor needs someone like Nasim.

 

If Taylor is going to go back to a former trainer, it should be Pat Burns and not Manny Steward.

Burns took him to the top and made him look good in the process. So what if he didn't look spectacular in the Hopkins fights? Nobody looks good against BHop. Burns had Taylor's respect and was always able to light a fire under his ass.

I think Taylor's father-figure relationship with Nelson gets in the way of their fighter-trainer relationship, tbh.

 

This is an interesting topic. The first thing I said when I found out JT is in the Super six was, "Change trainers." I said either get Nazim, or go back to Burns. I haven't changed my opinion.

Steward and Taylor never clicked, and Steward screwed up big time in the first Pavlik fight. Manny said a number of things between rounds that made it clear to me that he did not really understand Kelly Pavlik. In my opinion if JT had fought the first fight as well as he fought the second, he would still be the undefeated, undisputed middleweight champion.

Nelson and Taylor have a great relationship, but JT's recent record with Nelson is 1-2. After 10 rounds against Froch, JT was way ahead, but Nelson told Jermain he needed the last two rounds big. He did not need those rounds at all, but JT went out and went to war with Froch, per Ozell's instructions, and it cost him the fight.

Taylor needs a really smart trainer who knows what the **** is going on in the ring, and who will not underestimate Jermain's opponents. That's brother Nazim!

For me I dont think its a matter of who is really in his corner.I think its more to do with JT'S MINDSET,of how much he wants to win it.Thats my opinion could be wrong:huh
