Pacquiao is exciting to watch and most people appreciate his humble public demeanor, therefore they like him as a fighter and the buzz then creates interest from non regular boxing fans !

By demolishing Hatton at 140, same guy Floyd stuggled with until last 3 rounds, Pac proved the ODLH demolition wasnt a fluke. It wasnt just because DLH was shot. Pac is just that good!

I wasn't sure who would win in De la hoya vs Pacquiao cause while Pacquiao was coming up in weight, De la hoya have to move back down to ww for the first time in 8 years. And i look at Oscar picture in which imo shows he look very skinny and weak. And it was reported Oscar got his butt whipped by Valero in which at first i thought it was bs but when i think about it more i have a feeling it was true.

I pick Pacquiao to beat Hatton cause Pacquiao is quicker with far better skills then 1 dimensional Hatton.

Oscar was shot and dehydrated in which is why Pacquiao destroyed him. Valero beat up De la hoya in sparring in which proved that moving back down to ww was a huge no no for De la hoya.

Stating facts? Only fact is that Pacquiao is on a hot streak. But you're jus assuming a win for Pac would be better for boxing than if Cotto were to win. I believe watching Cotto fight is jus as exciting as watching Pac so lets keep assumptions, opinions and FACTS in their place.

What's best for boxing is a fight between two great fighters, regardless of who wins, they are both champions.

I like to know why can't Cotto be good for boxing if he wins? Is Cotto a boring fighter? Hell no. Cotto has never duck any fighters unlike Pacquiao. Cotto has fought Torres, Maussa, Paulie, Judah, Quintana, Margarito, Mosley, Clottey in which fighters like Margarito, Clottey, Quintana, Torres and even Judah was a high risk low reward fights. Cotto won't complain about having a bigger purse like Manny does. Also since Manny wants to retired from boxing around 2010, again why can't Cotto be good for boxing? Oh and think about it people lets say Mayweather vs Pacquiao does happen, if Mayweather wins many media and biased fans will say Mayweather beat a smaller fighter that started at flyweight. But if Mayweather face Cotto and beats Cotto then Mayweather will get better props, credit. The only thing that some or many will say that Mayweather beat a ruined Cotto thanks to Plaster Margocheater. But Mayweather beating Cotto will be better for Mayweather career.

Is there anyone here who possibly believes Cotto/PBF will sell more than Pac/PBF?

    Thats not what I meant.

    What would sell more

    Cotto/PBF if Cotto beats Pac
    Pac/PBF if Pac beats Cotto

Exactly. People forgot that Cotto vs Margarito did 450 ppv buys. Who here honestly thought it will do over 400k? But as you say if Cotto beats the number 1 p4p then why the hell not?

Floyd vs Pacquiao would be better than Floyd vs Cotto.

Competitive fight with late stoppage vs beatdown :deal

True. I guess a better question would be, would either of those fights even be able to be negotiated? Mayweather is difficult when it comes to the purse, especially with Bob Arum being both Cotto and Pacquaios promoter
