This truly deserves it's on thread as it's one of the most shockng statements I've ever heard on here, honestly, it's said with conviction, I'm upset, I'm high, but I'm literally devastated that someone could think this.

Poor Frankenfrank, he MUST live in a Fritzl-style household:lol:

Anyway, sorry for taking up thread space and time, but seriously........:patsch

I've just had enough of these types recently. I'm proper wrecked at the moment and don't care. This is getting it's own thread even if it dies after I click on 'Post Quick Reply'

I thought I'd reply to him about it but then I decided not to. I figured it was either a joke or an assumption so outlandish which you could not possibly argue against with logic and facts.

O'Neil Bell in his prime would have probably had his hands full with the 50 year old Holmes.

Bell would have a chance against Holmes if he had an axe at hand though. Perhaps that was what frankenfrank truly meant.

Who really cares what other posters think? Its an opinion, and it should be left at that. If a person is trying to wind someone else up, then keep in mind that it only works if you respond to it.

I like Bell, he is a lot of fun to watch. Holmes would empail him though.

Frankenfrank thinks a lot of things.

If we trawl through all his eccentric ideas we will be here a long time.

you can see that i did mention i consider holmes the favorite here.
    i just raised an idea.
    again : tyson did.
why bell repeating the feat is that unimpossible.
a prime bell had a good chin. i think better than shavers'.
he just overused it to exploitment.

I like Bell but think that he gets his ass kicked against most HW contenders.

He relied on his size and height at Cruiser a lot and could impose his will. It's how he beat Mormeck the first time around. But against guys that are his height or taller and can exploit his defensive weaknesses, he's in trouble.

Supernova has close to no chance against Holmes

Why out of every possible under 200 pound fighter would you choose O'Neil Bell to be among the men that would trouble Holmes the most though?

He had a solid chin, against men his own size atleast, a chin that was there to be hit as well as a good punch that bailed him out a couple of times.

I don't see how he can be compared to a prime Mike Tyson however.

his height isn't impressing even for a middleweight.
his size is really of a small cruiser , don't forget he began 176 and campaigned as a cruiser for regional titles back to the days of the 190 limit. he was not a big CW.
holyfield , haye , maccarinelli are BIG CW's.
    not bell.
he is really smaller than tyson (in dry mass).
i repeat for the 3rd time : i consider holmes the favorite.
that was just an idea. not a based opinion.
i did mention both pro's and con's for this idea.
still a better idea than liston stopping tua or fitzsimmons beating jones in today's rules , prime for prime which i'm sure the tickman will be sure about.

Here is a question/thought . Have Stranger/bigger upsets ever happened in boxing? Where would such an upset fit in the space of history. Holmes was well past his prime by the time of the Holyfield fight. I know i dont think it would happen, and if it did certainly I would consider what Tyson did to be of zero relevance to why it could happen. But, it wouldn not be the strangest thing to happen in boxing history. Would it even be top 10? In fact if you look at most ATG's, when they start to get to Holmes age, they invariably lose to fighters you would (in fantasy matches) give zero chance of beating them.
