One of my earliest boxing memories is watching Ali lose to Holmes. That was the worst thing ever. Also seeing Marlon Starling dismantle Honeyghan was really tough to watch, tho I was a massive fan of Starling after that.

Best, Calzaghe beating Lacy was pretty good. Benn beating Doug Dewitt was also great.

Happiest : watching Barrera smack Hamed around for 12 rounds
Saddest : watching Lewis take advantage of an old Holyfield & Tyson.

Happiest: Tsyzu beating Jake the Snake for his first title. My fam' know him so some of my Uncle's were at the fight so all the fam' would get together and watch him fight.

Worst: Tsyzu losing to Hatton. I did not want to leave the house that day or talk to anyone.

saddest: Lewis beating Tyson with such ease, so brutal. i still can't watch the fight. even I felt hopples watching it. just horrible.
happiest: Margarito beating Cotto. a poetic display of what will can do (loaded gloves or not). Gatti vs Ward I, no comment needed.

Happiest: 1.Duran-Leonard.Duran's my #1 fav ever,Leonard my #1 hated ever. Most people that I knew back then thought Leonard would win easy. That was the end of Duran's prime, but he put on quite a show that night.Pure delirium.2.Chava kicking the **** out of Gomez. Before the fight Gomez said he was going to send the ******* back to Mexico in a box.I saw that fight on Close Circuit TV in the old Felt Forum(MSG extension). The crowd was pure Boriqua Gomez supporters.I love and respect Boriqua fighters-Cotto is my present day favorite-but I always hated Gomez. You could here a pin drop at the end of that one.Chava's #5 on my fav list.Gomez#5 on my hate list.
3.Hagler-Hearns.Marvin was already showing signs of slippage before that one.I thought Hearns had a legitimate shot.Even though I've always respected Tommy,Marvin's magnificent performance will be with me forever.Marvelous is #2 on my fav list.
4.Camacho-Leonard.Just because I hate Leonard so much.He might be the second greatest welter ever, but he was also a smug, arrogant conman who thought he could do whatever the **** he wanted as he was the cash cow and everyone always wanted a piece.Truthfully,in their respective primes,Leonard destroys him.
but it was sooooo great seeing that ******* get his so convincingly against a non-puncher like Camacho.
5.Jones-Pazienza.Pazienza is #2 on my hate list due to his being a total ******* even after his broken neck,so watching him get his ass beat caused pure glee.
6.Barrera-Hamed.Hamed(#3 on my hate list) finally grew the stones to step up and fight one of the fab 3 Mexicans and got torn apart.I was laughing my balls off throughout that one.Who's your daddy, now,*******?Instead of challenging Barrera again,he had one more fight against a fringe type fellow and retired at 28.Bye-bye.
Saddest:1.Duran quitting against Leonard. No excuse for it.To this day I can't believe it.Leonard was making partied out Duran(no excuse for that **** either) look silly but still couldn't put a dent in Duran's skull, but yet Duran STILL QUIT.
2.Duran-Hearns.Tommy just destroyed him.I was gutted, but at least Duran went out on his shield in that one.
3.Hagler-Leonard.Leonard throughout his career toyed with the idea of fighting Marvin for at least 6 years and Marvin was salivating at the idea of making a killing.Leonard teased his fans and Marvin for the duration even having a public(premature) retirement party at the Capital Center in Maryland and charging people to go to it-only that ***** could get away with that one.So after Marvin's slipping for a few years and his feet in quicksand against Mugabi,Leonard grows the stones to challenge him and cons the world.****.
Happiest and saddest:1.Hagler-Minter.Before the fight,Minter pulled a Hopkins pre-Hopkins and riled up his fringe Nazi fanbase by stating,"I'll never let a black man take MY title."He was right.Marvin didn't take it from him,he ripped it out of his hide. The only problem was that the aforementioned fringe Nazi fanbase prevented Marvin from enjoying one of his finest moments by pelting the ring with full containers of beer.****s.
2.Ali-Frazier 3.My #3 and #4 favorites engaged in the best heavyweight fight that I've ever seen in my 48 years even though they were both past it.However they still had enough to give us something I'll never forget until I die.But that fight damaged both of them irrepparably and every time I watch it now,I marvel at their courage, but wince at the punishment they both received.

    Saddest

Mayorga - Mosley - I thought finally Mayorga might actually beat one of the Elite fighters of the era or at least go the distance and prove something to himself. Then to see him dropped near the end of the round, then have Mosley pull some 1920's stuff where he can just hover over his fallen opponent and wait, shitty experience.

Tyson - Williams - Once he got to the 4th round you could see in his eyes he didn't want to fight anymore then when he takes a 20 punch combination he just slumps down and sits there while the ref counts him out, his heart wasn't in boxing.

    Happiest

Morales - Pac I - I thought Morales was done for but his pulled one last win out and showed everyone Old Fighters always have one great fight left.

Brewster - Wladimir K. - I hated the Klit brothers with a passion and thought it would just be another dull fight then Brewster comes out of no where and stops Wlad, was exciting to say the least.

at least someone shares my pain for that fight..... my feelings exactly, ****ing shitty, shitty night....

to be honest, i was expecting mayorga to get completely ouclassed, not because i dont think mayorga is good, but because i thought mayorga was completely done as a fighter, BUT... when he was giving mosley hell, it was so awsome... so so awsome, i was jumping up and down lol. Then i could tell mosley started to land more sharply as the fight went on and i just went outside the last two rounds and watched through the blinds lol... then when mayorga went down it just was crushing... :-:)|
