Michael Kirby vs Solomon Haumono - OPBF Heavyweight Title

This is an interesting fight coming up in a few days.....it should help shape the HW landscape for the next few months and get the winner a shot at the Aussie title.

In Solomon's last 3 fights he has failed to impress while Kirby has IMO faced the better fighters and has a great win over Briggs.

Solomon looked his best against a lazy Courser but failed to put away Col when the fight was there for the taking.

Both guys are physically blessed and don't shy away from hard work and will come in looking great while Kirby has the edge in height and reach.

Either way this is going to be a *******......I like Sol and will be cheering for him however I think Kirby will win this one.

Thoughts?

Sol is shot

last few years has shown nothing.

 

He's not shot because he was never that good in hindsight :deal

 

Don't know about shot.....maybe he was never that good in the first place.

He looked good against average fighters because of his natural ability but looks like he's never come on as a fighter when the bigger fights are up.

On top of that Kirby is a had man....Sol will need work rate and clean shots to slow him up.....However I see Kirby's rate being much higher than Sols.....I don't think Sol will be standing in the last round. :-(

 

i give huge credit to haumono for taking this fight.
he's copped plenty of flack for fighting bums, and now after a couple of disapointing fights he has decided to really find out what he is made of. it will be a tough night for him but i expect him to land sooner or later and win by ko.

 

I hope your right mate....this is one hard fight....Iam sure Sol knows that....big step up for Sol from the Col loss.....I mean draw.

I expect a fully focused Haumano to get the dec win here. If he comes in half hearted, Kirby will do what Sio did to him.

 

Sol looks half hearted in most fights......I hope he comes in pumped...hes going to need it.
