I know you're only a kid tommy but men do put on weight as you get older. I put on close to a stone in the last year without really any extra effort in the gym.
Btw, that's a low blow, coming from Floyd Sr. I was beginning to like that kooky old dude. If you could see the local manual labourers and stevedores and construction people, and a lot of them come from the Philippines deep south, you would see that Manny's body structure and the local worker's body structure are similar. Slim but ripped torsos. Thick, stocky legs and thighs. Strong and durable. In fact, most of the Filipino boxers and soldiers come from the southern islands. They're all tough little guys.
We employ loads of Pinnoys in ther shipping business and ( while being aware I'm making a sweeping generalistion about one ethnic group ) they do tend to be very stong little dudes.
The past generations were generally 5'8 and below males, especially guys from the poorer, remote provinces. The city folk are generally taller. But the current generation are quickly becoming taller and taller. I was one of the bigger kids in my day (I'm 5'9), but nowadays, I see a lot of high school boys and girls as tall or taller than me. Some nearly 6 footers. And I'm from the provinces. So imagine the city kids now.
Bull**** manny was trying to hard to convince us that he didn't use it, and now he made himself suspicious. Are all philipinos this bias? I haven't heard one that isn't, is Manny ****ing you all?
I guess that happens everywhere I'm 33 now and if I pass a high school it seems like all the kids are taller than me. I'm only 5'10 but that's hardly a midget.
I can see why some people from the west are being suspicious. "Because he's asian, and asians do some shady mumbo-jumbo stuff just to win. Look at China, drugging up their athletes in the olympics and all that ****. You cant trust them sneaky little asians."
