I think they are the only two fighters where their introduction as replacement fighters could actually improve the tournament, or at least totally salvage a major disaster. The fact that they aren't in the tourny in the first place is the only major flaw in the tournament.

If someone was to be injured in round 1, the introduction of the Bute - Andrade winner would be great. I am not sure how the other fighters would take this though, as it would likely be up to them. So chances are the new fighter would probably be under some sort of handicap, like starting round 2 with 0 points and needing to win 2 from 2 to progress in the knockout stages.

I think mathematically, six is the best number to work with for this tournament. With that said, if you think these two being left out of the tournament is a major flaw, who do you think they should replace? As far as a new fighters' handicap and it being up to the existing fighters, I would THINK these things would be contractually mentioned. If that's the case, I wonder what the terms are...hopefully that a fighter cannot reject any proposed replacement at 168.

Does anybody really think that Green would just jump right into the mix without causing any problems?

He or his dickhead advisor would want more money or some such ****.

Green could **** up a free lunch.

Green wants in, but according to what I've read in an interview, he will want the terms to be right. My answer to your question...not really. Jump into the mix? Yes. Without causing problems? Pfft.

its the tourney that is the ppv draw...not necessarily the fighters in it. each fighter individually isnt going to break the bank on ppv. put them all together in a tourney format and yeah we should have some good numbers. i mean, say what you will about pav but he would come into the ring w/ the arguably the second best resume behind taylor. who has ward, dirrell and aa fought?? froch has a couple good fights but not as good of a resume as pav and same with kess i would argue. just my opinion of course. i honestly like all the fighters in this touney and can't wait to see it. its gonna be great for boxing.

but pav got his head handed to him by 180+ lbs of bhop and didnt get stopped and kept moving forward but he somehow is going to get iced right out of the gate here?? i can't tell you pav would walk through everyone and win the thing, that would be foolish. but he would put up a helluva fight. (don't compare anyone in this tourney to bhop to support an argument that pav would lose like he did to bhop...no one in this tourney is on bhop's level and everyone in this tourney would lose to bhop and that includes taylor)

At first, I thought it was a real question. But the only goal of your thread is to spit your venom on all the other boxers apart those in the super six (which are not the six best in the the world, should I point again).
Ok stupid hater, let's explain some things to you again. Froch himself has fought all his fights at home, except when the payday was big enough to go to the US. What you are saying about Bute could have been said 7 months ago about Carl Froch, and could be said about Taylor, Abraham before the Miranda fight, Dirrel and Ward. Hello the moon, there is only one fighter in the super six who has boxed more than twice abroad and it's Kessler. Saying Bute is not a good replacement for that reason is so stupid everybody should be laughing at you. People are very polite on ESB. I don't feel ito be polite. :rofl

Facts: Bute fought three times in United States and twice in Quebec city. You said he fought all his fights in Montreal except one. Wrong Captain Froch. That's 5 times, mostly early in his career, for an obvious reason: when you are able to draw more than 10 000 people at home, why would you accept less money to fight abroad?

As for Sakio Bika, he's ranked higher than Dirrel and Ward, you clown!

Ok that's enough, anyway, no one could replace no one for the obvious reason written by another poster. Bute, Andrade or Pavlik will wait and face the big winner of the supersix tournament. That will be the real final.

i cant imagine these warriors, wanting to get out of the tournament. The purses and personal sponsorship money + the desire to prove themselves, must be enough to keep them in it.

In the case of an injury, the fight program should be flexible, so the original participants, can keep fighting.

    Buy a clue you clown.

For starters, Froch earned 25% of what Taylor earned despite being champ and could have earned just as much fighting a Karo Murat-type european fighter. Instead he sought out the man, travelled, and knocked out a guy who swerved him twice already, fighting Lacy instead - so dont try and make out Froch 'took the money'.

Secondly what rankings, if any, does Bika rank higher than the unbeaten Dirrell and Ward?

    NONE.

Bute is a joker, who should have been stopped by Andrade if the referee was not so utterly biased. He could not even stand and was falling about the ring unable to defend himself.

Froch wasn't even a champion when he fought at home. As soon as he became champ, he flew over to USA on his first defence to fight and KO Taylor a fighter with better skills, better resume and bigger name.
Now hes in the super 6, not once by the time the tourney is over will he have taken a soft route.

How many times has Bute defended his belt in the same arena, who apart from Bika and Andrade (who nearly iced him) has he fought as a champion???? And where has he travelled??
