You want them to put two live boxing shows on different channels at the same time? Considering that their potential audience pool for both is essentially pretty much entirely the same people, that would be a bit bizzare from their point of view...

What's the alternative, delayed coverage of sailing or something equally crap? It's not like those other channels are ever packed; in fact, it makes you wonder what the point is in 'Xtra' and 3 at times. I see where you're coming from but, like I say, there are alternatives and I expect that common sense will eventually prevail. Whether that means that Sky change their minds and give the Sexton-Rogan card the slot we'll just have to wait and see.

Delayed coverage of sailing costs nothing and attracts a different audience (presumably) than boxing. Covering two live boxing events at the same time basically doubles costs and halves the audience for each channel.

When did I say that I disputed that? Clearly you haven't read everything I typed, Cobbler. I know which I'd rather watch out of the two cards anyway and there's no need to take a spurious suggestion seriously- I was just saying that there are ways around this dilemma:good.

I would hope that the promoters schedule the main fights so Sky could cross to one or the other venue, cant be that difficult, one at 9pm one at 10ish,and then Sky would have an excellent show that night..Rogans too much of an entertainer to leave out of the schedules

Problem sorted. There's a rational, cost-effective solution to this problem:good.

I said 'think', not 'demand' or 'expect'. 'Think' implies suggestion:

    Verb
    Infinitive
    to think
    Third person singular
    thinks
    Simple past
    thought
    Past participle
    thought
    Present participle
    thinking

to think (third-person singular simple present thinks, present participle thinking, simple past and past participle thought)
    1. (transitive) to ponder, to go over in one's head Idly, the detective thought what his next move should be.
    2. (intransitive) To communicate to oneself in one's mind, to try to find a solution to a problem.I thought for three hours about the problem and still couldn’t find the solution.
    :good

You probably should specify in future if you don't want people to reply to your posts, answer questions you have posed, or respond to points you've made :good

Like I said, Cobbler, it was just a spurious suggestion- it is up to the reader to interpret it as they wish but what I was highlighting was that there are alternatives to the situation and, if need be, drastic ones as well. I'll go back to what I originally said to you: 'I see where you're coming from'. I never once said, 'This is what needs to happen and is the only option'. It was merely a suggestion on my part and never a recommendation;):good.

one of the cards will have to be pushed back a few weeks

as breen will have to train fighters on both crads

i can see the mccloskey fight being pushed back a few weeks

I just think its crazy that Warren rescheduled the fight for the same night as McCloskey is fighting in the same city and on the same tv channel.

Surely he can't have been aware of that fight? Pretty poor research if thats the reason.
