Jones Jr.! Picked PAC accidently, but Jones for sure. His dominance for a decade will secure this for him.

    WOW, what a **** list.

Where is the obvious choice Joe Calzaghe? instead they have a fighter that ducked a prime Joe and fought Bin men, then got obliterated by Joe.

Bloody DLH in there... jesus LOL.

    Lame.

    Next.

JC! LOL...he's a great talent with a nice shiny record but his best wins are over a some pretty old fighters who are past their best days. Jones and Nard....even Eubanks. His talent out weights his accomplisments by a long mile. He should be on the list based on talent but not on the substance of his resume.

    1. roy jones jr. - jones jr. to me was probably the most athletically gifted boxer in history. in his prime he was absolutely amazing!

    2. julio cesar chavez - 27 world title defenses, 34 world title fights, 89-0-1 before suffering first loss which by the way he already had 23 title defenses under his belt. 96-1-1 before he suffered his first KO loss, and an overall record of 107-6-2.

    3. it's gotta be floyd mayweather jr.. until somebody beats him in the ring he'll be considered the p4p #1 fighter of today.

    4. pernell whitaker was a defensive whiz who really lost only three times in his whole career and was robbed in the jose luis ramirez fight. he gave a prime de la hoya all he could handle.

    5. bernard hopkins has got to be the number 5 because of his long run of middleweight title defenses he won. i believe he defended his title 20 times which is unheard of at that weight.

    6. mike tyson was a monster in his prime but his prime didn't last very long after he got out of prison.

    7. oscar de la hoya. i know the *******s are going to say that pacquiao beat oscar by KO but we're talking about a prime oscar. oscar by the way has had 18 title defenses in 6 weight divisions which pacquiao only 5 title defenses in 4 divisions. and no, ring champion does not count for crap.

    8. manny pacquiao - sorry but too many cherry picking to be rated any higher. although he has improved leaps and bounds in the last few years it isn't enough to be rated higher. besides, i'm not very impressed by the fact that he's only defended his titles a total of 5 times! i believe it is much more impressive to clean out 2 or 3 divisions than winning meaningless titles i.e. david diaz. additionally, all of the above p4pers had better resumes than pacquiao with better competition. pacquiao only beat old fighters which looks great until you read the fine print!!! :nut

I think domination must be key. I am not ever convinced that a fighter is really great if he is not clearly better than his contemporaries. Usually he is just talked up by the fans of those fighters as well as his own fans, but his real level is debatable at the least.

We have seen examples where people say fighter x is great. Then when he is beaten by fighter Y - fighter Y is also great (of course - has to be otherwise we were wrong, right?), and then when Y looses to Z, Z is also great... and so on. That is a good story if you believe it, but very unconvincing and very unlikely most of the time.

Whitaker, then Jones. Better resume for Pea, and no marks against him the level of RJJ's brutal losses to Tarver and Johnson.

Agree with Sweet Pea on Pac as well. It won't take that much more from him at this point to overtake those two.
