there's ALWAYS better opponents. but if he took on mosley people would say he ducked hatton. if he fought margo, he ducked the lineal champ in baldomir. ****

Exactly and had he fought Margo and not Baldo people would have said he ducked the linear champ of the division to fight a nobody in Margo.:patsch

haha, i'm honestly more of a floyd fan after listening to all the complaining and then REALLY looking at his record.

before 140, one of the best resumes in the last 20 years. after 140, still one of the top 10 in the world, probably top 5. EVERY fight since gatti has meant something, every fight since and including judan has been against a top fighter and he's DOMINATED (except for DLH).

i rewatched the n'dou fight the other day: wow. the man is gifted.

A lot of the decisions he makes are bad for boxing. It is always bad when the top guys don't fight the biggest threats or retire right when they are the biggest they have ever been in the prime of their careers, so in that sense, he is horrible for boxing.

. He has little sense of humor or ability to laugh at himself. Not much going on there in terms of charisma.

He's good in the sense that he plays the villain, but he's bad bc all he cares about is money, he overhypes his matches which never deliver, and he doesn't take on challenging fights.

I'd say people like him are bad for boxing, I can't say he is specifically at the moment. Lets see what he does after Marquez.

hey pimple, can you not see the ***** in floyd which comes out when his feelings are hurt, like the crying episode after Baldomir, the Merchant interview, when Margarito confronted him, when he had security block Margarito from entering his press conference, when he makes all the excuses to duck Cotto and Pacquiao, etc?

or hey pimple, would you prefer to ignore these tell tale moments?

That's what I'm getting at. I think it's almost worse for the sport have a high-profile fight that drums up interest with the general public, only to end up with an anti-climactic, technical snoozefest. Once bitten, twice shy. I love the subtleties of boxing but most people don't, and that's not good for the sport. ****, at least with Tyson, you knew something exciting was going to happen.

Agree with everything you said. It could be good for Boxing if he fought with more heart and still won and if he was fighting the best fighters out there.

All it does is validate the ex Boxing fans come MMA fans in their decision to walk away from being a fan of the sport of Boxing because of fighters like him.
