Soto vs Valero can be made in Mexico . . . next year. Valero cannot brag about chosing and wanting big fights anymore.

The fight is still about two months away, maybe just maybe, uncle can find away to iron out this mess. Let's wait for further development, we haven't heard arum talking about this yet.

Aside from this US visa problems, is Valero already licensed to fight in Nevada?? He has a Texas license tho...

If it's because of his politics, then it's a ridiculously petty decision. He's not going to convert the US to socialism by virtue of having knockout power, after all.

It's been a pipe dream forever now. I've been saying this for a month. Valero got a DUI earlier this year - there's no way they'll let him into the country, and even if they did, it would still be illegal for him to fight in Nevada. Way too many hurdles to clear for him to fight on the Cotto-Pacquiao undercard.

No, and the Nevada legislature would need to change the laws in the state for him to fight there. They tried to get them to do it a while ago, but changing a statute so that it makes boxing less safe isn't exactly a priority of Nevada's Senate.

It has nothing to do with his politics. He was convicted of a felony earlier in the year, and the country doesn't let in too many convicted felons.

100% chance it's because he was convicted of DUI in Texas earlier in the year.

Well if Arum/HBO will really want this fight on the undercard of PAC-Cotto then they can do a split venue PPV presentation with Valero vs. Soto and Alejandro Valdez vs. Eric Morel fights in Mexico and the rest of the fights in Las Vegas...

Why don't Arum throw Chavez Jr. on the card?
(Not like his last fight took anything)

Get him on another major PPV (Not called Latin Fury)
