Hamed had no Chin and no heart. He was all hype.

 

I think you'll find what made him "great to watch" also made him lose spectacularly. No real drive for the sport and didn't take it seriously enough. Hand fed bums his whole career too but what's new with a Frank Warren fighter.

 

After all the humiliation he dished out, he didn't have balls to come back after one. All be it, a sound whupping. Sad.

 

he did come back........... he was terrible so he retired.

 

Wasn't Marquez the one that turned down the offer to fight Naz?

 

Sure it was a loss but boxing always moves on. Boxing moved on successfully after Tyson, Ali and many other huge names that are far bigger than Hamed will ever be.

If anything, the retirement is his loss. It looked like one loss killed his desire quickly.

Hamed never beat a genuine world class championship level opponent.

 

Hamed got dealt with by Barrera but he still could of been a player in the division if he had fought on.

I think his reputation gets tarnished because of the Barrera fight when he did beat some good fighters when all said and done, albeit he did not beat elite names. He beat still beat some good names and he beat what was put infront of him and thats all you can do.

Hamed's resume is severely underrated because people dislike him.

I'm an idiot? You're the one saying Hameds retirement was boxings loss. McCullough got outclassed many times in the amateurs and pros when facing a genuine opponent. Soto was what? 90? Ingle was on his 21st fight ala Jeff Lacy, he was world class too eh? Bungu, again, past it. I'm surprised Kevin Kelley was still alive at that point.

Ang again, no one will remember these guys ten years from now, they will remember MAB though.

Ok so Warren didnt hand him bums, he handed him over the hill guys when he beat all the bums. Big difference.

 

t's not a lack of boxing knowledge, I've seen all of those fights. BelCastro was an impressive win at the time I will give him that, especially the manner of victory. But come on, Augie Sanchez is credible, as is Alicea, but not mind blowing to the point where you would say "WOW ,HE BEAT AUGIE SANCHEZ!! HE COULD BE AN ATG!!!!"

I've always maintained that he had a shedload more talent than that little faker Amir Khan.

But come on, Hamed was never gonna be a great one.
