I don't know, I think Cotto is the better boxer and puncher here. I mean Manny gets hit, he does, he gives his opponents openings in every fight. I just don't think he gets by Cotto like that.

Appropriate song choice. Gotta love Jimi.

Oh and no surprise that Roach feels confident if the two exchange. Pac will land more and avoid more clean shots than Cotto. Risky though none the less.

I think Cotto gets WAY underrated. I actually think he is going to beat Pac in November.

What Roach said about exchanging is probably just a ploy to confuse Cotto's camp and make them think about what to do in case Pacquiao goes toe to toe, which Pac will never do against Cotto.

Cotto's camp isn't buying into any of this....they don't believe he hasn't started training as well....they know better and aren't taking anything for granted.
( listen to what Cotto camp says )
Whatever Roach says, it is falling on deaf ears....his decoy talk won't work here. Cotto is going to starch Manny and have him belly up in the 7th !!!!

Don't really see how anyone could consider Cotto a more complete fighter. He doesn't compare to Pacquiao offensively (Manny is also the better puncher, much more explosive with his combination punching), and defensively he is much easier to hit. He could only be considered more complete in the sense that he is okay at a lot of things and doesn't really have any significant standout features.

People's judgments are clouded when analysing Pacquiao because offensively his hand speed stands out, and defensively he predominantly relies on footwork, which people tend to ignore (focusing on things like upper body movement and defensive shell).

P4P Pac is a better puncher. It's hard to say who's more complete.

In a straight sportsman's fight I say Pac should take this. My problem is this: In the Agapito Sanchez fight we see how Pac has problems with a fighter who uses roughhousing techniques to frustrate him. Cotto does this in every fight. I really like Cotto don't get me wrong, but if a fighter of Cotto's size does the Sanchez treatment on Pac then Pac's in trouble. Otherwise I have the fight for Pac and think his skill and speed/power should pull him through. Imagine Cotto picking up little Pac and bodyslamming him like he did Clottey!
