An action for slander may be brought without alleging and proving special damages if the statements in question have a plainly harmful character, as by imputing to the plaintiff criminal guilt, serious sexual misconduct, or conduct or a characteristic affecting his or her business or profession.

a simple definition of slander under US laws.

    An established fact isn't slanderous.

They might want to focus on Cotto. Overlooking him like that is NOT a good sign.

****. how old are you, ****ing idiot.

using illegal drug is against the law, dimwit. that is why it is "illegal".

that is why it has harmful character because it imputes criminal guilt affecting ones business or profession.

is ducking an opponent a criminal offense? :-( bright boy.
is being a *** a criminal offense? :-( bright boy.

is using heroin, being a crackhead, a criminal offense. of course yes.

that is the nature of slander, if i accuse you in national television of being a head of a gay prostitution ring, that is slanderous because i imputed to you a criminal offense without proof.

if i call you a ducker? is that a criminal offense brightbulb? :rofl:rofl:rofl

Scatterbrain, Tom Cruise succesfully sued a gay porn star for slander after the porn star said he and Cruise engaged in a homosexual affair. Is having a homosexual affair illegal? No, at least not in the U.S. You don't have to accuse someone of doing something illegal for it to be slander.

Defimation lawsuits are some of the biggest piles of **** in the legal system.

If Manny goes through with this I will lose every bit of respect I ever had for the guy. You don't like what Floyd said, don't listen to it.
