come on man, i love floyd but this is unprofessional and disrespectful. 2 pounds is a big difference: it means he didn't have to bust his ass QUITE as much to get down in weight, which was one of the only neutralizers and advantages marquez had. floyd just spit in his face with this stunt; i thought he was better than that.

 

I will say this though, I have seen worse incidents, like when James Toney got to keep his IBF MW title despite coming in .25 lb over the MW limit

 

Floyd should of took the time and run off the weight. I dont know what he was thinking.

Mayweather has never gained a pound but actually lost weight from weigh in to fight night for every fight over 145.

 

This also shows that Pac/PBF has no chance of happening at a catchweight either.

ESPN just reported just now the contract was adjusted last night to the 147lb limit, with Marquez to be paid a disclosed amount for every pound over 144.

It looks Floyd realized he wasn't going to make weight, and pulled a last minute fast one.

 

everybody forgot that this was a catchweight at 144.

and both didn't even make it. :verysad
