Yes, I will still give him credit, Ok this mythical catchweight is only good for contratual reasons. Man on fight night fighters come in weighing alot more or alot less than there opponents. What if JMM comes in 5lbs heavier than Floyd tomorrow, then what would you say, I can see the point in honoring your commitments im not saying that, but 2lbs? Hey JMM agreed to it, so it must not be that big of deal to him.

If you wouldn't give Floyd credit for beating JMM - which, I assume is beacause of size - then you shouldn't give Cotto credit if he beats Pacquiao.

People on here are so ****ing biased.

I don't give a **** what you or trash like you think, really.

Marquez could cancel or play "Freddie Roach" and request over 2 million for each 1 pound.

nothing wrong with wanting extra money when your opponent misses the weigh-in. + i don't think that figure is accurate.

For what??? for fighting someone completely at a disadvantage?? Nope.

HUGE props for JMM for still letting us see this fight. He deserves all the money he'll be getting.

Floyd should try and keep his weight down tom night just to save face.

Did you give Sugar Ray Robinson credit for beating a 15 pound heavier Jake Lamotta? There are too many dam haters against Floyd and I would say to him; fuk the haters and just do your thing. Make your money and continue kicking azz.
What about Henry Armstrong and all the other great fighters that fought at a weight disadvantage? This writer as well as most people posting on this site are truly pathetic to me.
JMM could very well have beaten Manny at least one time but where are the Floyd haters or what did they have to say about Cotto's obvious advantage. Or what about Maxim's over Ray Robinson?
So many people on here need to get a life and learn this sport before making ignorant comments!!
What happened when Oscar outweighed Floyd? where was all of the sentiment against weight during that fight? I can guess, no where!! Now STFU haters!!!!!! And appreciate true greatness before your very eyes... There will never be another as great as Sugar Ray Robinson.. Peace.:hi:

Sorry Floyd, I won't be giving you as much as credit if you were fighting him at the agreed 144 weight.

I forgived you for picking a fighter that's 2 weight divisions smaller than you, because after all, you were coming off almost a 2 year lay off. Also, the fact that he's ranked P4P number 2, further validated your choice of opponent...

    ...BUT.....

...now that you've shifted the goal posts, and are fighting him at your comfort zone, which effectively means you'll be facing a guy two weight divisions smaller than you, less powerful than you, and considerably slower than you......you'll be definately recieving less credit than you intially hoped for.

I will the better man will win not because of 2 lbs either marquez is world class not some amateur and if 2 lbs makes or breaks u in a fight u shouldn't be considered world class where were u all when floyd fought oscar..... sick of the double standards with floyd.... nobody is makin excuses for pbf this really upset me when I saw the weights but floyd will gain maybe 2 or 3 lbs (148 149) jmm maybe 3-5 (145-147) pbf will be heavier but it'll be closer fight night

Lot's of cry-babies here who were wishing Floyd was going to be weight-drained, like Oscar was against Pacquiao.
