Is Floyd's Failure to make Weight only to his advantage or could it be good for JMM?

    Firstly, I like both fighters, but I am very unhappy Floyd chose not to lose two more pounds.

    You think this was all a calculated move by Floyd or is there something more to it?

    I just read he told JMM this morning about it. If he couldn't make the weight and didn't do it on purpose, this could be good for JMM.

    Floyd said on 24/7, "he was at the right weight if the fight were today".
    WTH did he consider the right weight?

    Floyd is less effective the heavier he gets.

    Marquez might not be quite as behind in speed coming in at 142.

    Remember, Pac only weighed 142 at weigh in for drained ODLH.

    I don't give any less chance to JMM because of two pounds. He'll put as much pressure on Floyd as anyone has. Floyd could wear down, who knows?

    If Floyd chose not to make the weight on purpose, he lied to Marquez.
    JMM might have come in at 142 anyway, but it's the principle of the whole thing.

    When Pac fans disrespect JMM, it pisses me off. Now other Floyd fans are doing it after the weigh-in. I really like both these fighters, but that's bull**** too!

    What do you think? More to Floyd's injury than we know, maybe distractions?

    I really hope we get to see the fight night weights tomorrow. Fans deserve to know!

    Maybe Floyd felt a little drained at 144 and wanted to get a head start on rehydrating?

    all i have to say is that i don't think people should let this incident change or influence their predictions on how the fight will play out. i personally foresaw a close-ish fight that mayweather would win since the fight's announcement and i'm sticking with that

    it was a foul move by floyd and i think it was probably both calculated and a product of trouble making the weight. they probably realised they'd be uncomfortable dehydrating to 144lbs and just aimed for 146lbs/147lbs and resigned themselves to paying compensation

    Maybe floyd planned to **** oscar over all along. If he planned this then he did a damn good job. I dont think it anything personal to Marquez.

    But my theory is he just couldn't make that weight after 2 years out. This can happen.

    It's good for Marquez's bank account, but for the fight, it's better for Mayweather.

    I can't see it being good for Marquez. I think it was Mayweather knowing his body and that to be 100% he couldn't dry himself out so much. He obviously knew this ahead of time as he made no attempts to sweat it off.

    Hmmm...I personally have seen this fight as being closer than most think. In reality, 2 pounds should not change my view, unless Floyd really blows up tomorrow night, but he's never liked to cut weight, so he wanted to just pay the fine instead I suppose?

    So far, I hear the fine is in the 6 figures.

    Could be once he started cutting weight he didn't like how he was feeling so he did like you're saying?:think Possible.

    That would be more telling than the weigh-in. The weights might be very close tomorrow. If Mayweather comes in over 150 and Marquez around 145, then it would be to Floyd's advantage.

    He has had two month plus to make weight due to his rib injurie. As you can see in 24/7 he was very able to make weight. I dont think he is intentionally trying to cheat, but I think that 144 is to low for him at this stage of his carrer. And he should have been able to forsee that before he agreed to a catchweight at 144.

    No, I am not kidding, and you're too biased to be realistic! If he really can't make 144, that's a big change from when he last fought, cause he has never weighed more than 150 for a fight in the past. If he can't cut 6 pounds, things have changed.
