So JMM killed himself to make 144lbs only to be told the weight limit was 147lbs?

    What a ****in' *******.

Floyd will just be stronger for the fight. He didn't want to lose the extra 2 pounds because it would drain him giving Marquez an advantage in the fight. Plain and simple.

I don't know where people get that 144lb bull**** anyway.

Simple to people who use their brains. They know two pounds won't make or break this fight. It's not like it's for a belt.

It is obvious that many here are not close to boxing outside of their living room. A few pounds at this weight is HUGE. If the contract weight was 144 then this is a VERY unclassy, unprofessional move by Floyd. This is frustrating as hell!!!! I haven't read the contract or anything, but if it's 144, Marquez should decline the fight. It is disrespectful and low-class to not make the AGREED weight for a fight. There is a damn good reason for weight classes (or weight LIMITS for those of you who feel the need to knit-pick, or don't understand the concept of a catch-weight). This is an unfair advantage and is also how guys get hurt. If you disagree, keep it to yourself, because you're wrong. This isn't my opinion, this is fact. If you didn't know, now you do.

The same way Castillo couldn't make weight three times for his upcoming fights? There is a limit to where your body will not allow u to lose any more weight because it would put u at a health risk. If u know anything about boxing, u would know that.

Was this just a myth? Everybody had me fooled. Was it 147 the whole time? I just took it for granted and never really paid close attention.

Didn't some boxing site ask JMM if it was at 144lbs or 147lbs? JMM had to reassure so he made a call to Golden Boy Promotions, then I think they told him it's still at 144lbs.

    It wasn't just some myth.

Keep the opponent guessing? So he intentionally kept Marquez out of the loop with regards to the fight weight?

Seriously, I can understand keeping the media guessing to generate interest, but keeping the opponent guessing about the weight?

did anybody see marquez on 24/7 tonight when they asked about the weight after the weigh-in? He played dumb, and said he would talk to his promoters.....to me it looked like he knew what was going on, but still wasnt happy about it.....

How much do you all think they will rehydrate to? Floyd obviously didn't dry himself out...
