Yup. But i haven't watch it since it was on live tv. I think it was 5 knockdown maybe 4 or 3 but it was either those 3.

If JMM wins this fight he is the best of this era. He just steps on Pacmans head on his way to #1.

Yes, most of us laughed at Roach's comments.... at the end of the day he laughed at us..... the problem is that now many Hardcore Pac fans want you to believe that only other fans made the mistake to pick Hoya..... while they were always right..... they all picked Hoya from the get go...:yep

I know I did. I picked DLH to KO PAC inside 10 adn dominate the other rounds. I was very surprised that PAC did as well as he did. And I give more credit to PAC being that good rather than excuses that DLH was Shot. When there were no signs that he was. If he was shot, he was shot for the Floyd fight a year earlier where he took Floyd 12 rounds.

Yes, that's what separates the joe's from the experts!

You, and many others, thought DLH performed well against Forbes. You even said in the Forbes fight that Oscar was still performing at the sports highest level. That's why you picked Oscar to beat Pacquiao!

Meanwhile, a little nutball named Roach, saw that same fight as you and saw completely the OPPOSITE! He said Oscar showed signs of being on the severe decline after his loss to Mayweather, had no punch resistance, lost his reflexes, and would be no match for Pacquiao at that point in his career.

Plenty of people were picking Floyd to KO Oscar based on how horrible he looked against Forbes, to them. Note I said, "to them", since some people such as yourself, incorrectly, thought Oscar was still performing at the elite level.

btw, Roach did say Hopkins should retire, but he also said Pavlik was looking very slow and vulnerable after putting on the extra weight and gave Bhop a much better chance than he said previously.

That's the point..... he never said to us fans he was shot or admitted that he was not into boxing or thinking as a boxer any more..... he said the oposite and that's why we picked him to beat Pac...... but in reality he was more shot than anything else......

Arguello told him as a friend (Oscar always said that Arguello was his idol) to retire for good after the Forbes fight (Arguello was present at that fight) .... and Oscar was only thinking about the money he could make with another fight, but he needed somebody who could bring some fans too, and Pac was a good option for him......

    Roach disagrees with you!

In the end, Roach was right. So was Edwin Valero!

Your last bit on him being shot against Floyd. Well, Roach said that Oscar was going to beat Floyd in their fight. There was no problem at all in camp, and Roach was confident in Oscar to beat Floyd.

Fast forward to Oscar losing weight for Forbes... Roach said he was getting reports that Oscar was looking like garbage in training for his fight with Forbes, so he predicted that Forbes could upset Oscar and win the fight. Then after the Forbes fight, Roach declared Oscar as shot and that anyone could beat him! He said there was a major drop off from his fight with Mayweather - to forbes - to Pacquiao. So, according to Roach, Oscar was much more declined as a fighter when he met Pacquiao. Roach's quote that he "turned old over night" against Forbes speaks VOLUMES!

Oscar's face after fighting the feather-fisted Forbes is priceless! Not even Trinidad or Hopkins could bruise his face.

I don't claim to be an expert but I know boxing. I've been around it my whole life. ANd you are not an expert either. ANd to be honest "experts" are regular joes who have a title that has be given to them by someone.

I judge a performance by technique, rounds won, ring generalship, clean effective punching and how the fight is won. DLH won in all categories. yea....I've seen better performances by Oscar, but for what it was.....DLH wasn't in his prime, he was clearly on the slide even before his fight with Floyd.

Oscar was performing at the sports highest level which was 6 months earlier facing Floyd....the then P4P king....You don't get no higher than that. And Oscar did VERY well. IT was a close fight that I felt Floyd won by only 2 rounds.

Roach says a lot of things before fights with his guy. He gets in their heads, he said Oscar was shot, couldn't pull the trigger...he said that with Izzy too. It is what it is bro. Everyone has an opinion and hindsight is always 20/20.

Roach also said that Floyd is the EASIEST fight for PAC. Now.....I don't really believe that to be true at all an I know Roach doens't either....Mental warfare is a speciality of Roach.

Regardless of if Roach changed his mind or not Roach is worng on occassion like every other expert....experts who picked DLH over PAC are good examples and there were many. So my bad....I didn't know I was chatting with an "expert" here on these esb message boards. I apprrecitate your "expert" opinions bro.:good

Sure...if you think he was then you must be right. Nacho is considered an expert and he said DLH was in Tremndous shape. ANd DLH recently said the same thing and apologized to Nacho for not performing the way he "WANTED" to. Nacho said that PAC was just too fast and it had nothing to do with how DLH was prep or conditioned. So there are many excuses out there but excuses are like ass holes....everyones got one....some got a few. Lol.

1- Oscar didn't fight at 147.... the fight was at 154.... meaning no weight problems....

2- Floyd didn't want to risk.... he fought a tactical and defensive fight.... after all he was the smaller guy....

    3- Smaller ring...

That alone could make us think that Hoya was the same Hoya.....

That was not my opinion.... it was Arguello's opinion.
