The difference is it's Floyd...at least Marquez has the guts to fight, though. I wonder if he can inspire Pac Man to fight Cotto at welter.

this is my issue with this, so what if its in the contract....tell the fans in advance time, not say "suprise" at the weigh-in:-(

The reason why I find it funny was how easily fooled u ESB fans are by Oscar Dela Hoya.

I always knew from the first moment a journalist asked Oscar about the weight for the fight.. His response was, you just have to tune in and see
He said this way back in July 2009 and i knew something was UP.

So you can cry and pretend to be naive but you all knew Oscar was pulling a fast one from the very beginning when he did not give out the information on the weight limit.:deal

For all the **** people are saying about catch-weights, "guess"-weights seem like worse idea.

True. And personally I think Marquez was hungry/desperate enough for a big money fight to agree to this whole guess-gate

There should be no catchweights, anyway. SRR didn't complain about fighting much bigger men. Fans need to stop bitching and just enjoy the ****ing fight. Who the **** said life was fair?

1.) Yup legally floyd did nothing wrong, all where w/in the bounds of the
said contract (as we are being made to believe)
2.) It is a catchweight fight @ 144 lbs, even thou it was not clearly
termed as such in the supposed contract. But because there was
a stipulation that any lbs in excess of that weight will
be fined/penalized or whatever term they may use, that pretty
    much makes it obvious.

Nonetheless, JMM agreed to continue the fight so props to him and
    lets get it on!!!!!!!

Any explanation this complicated can't be good for the perception of this fight that's for sure.

So Mayweather did not cheat, he just choose to pay penalty instead of cutting weight.
