I believe this is another ***** yet a clever move by fraud for people to hate him just to keep them drawn to the fight..

as a conman as he is, i can assure you a lot of people will again be deceived and tune in..:verysad

Floyd Mayweather Jr. made the contracted weight of 147 pounds for his HBO Pay-Per-View fight on Saturday with Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

But when Mayweather weighed 146 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in, he was forced to pay a six-figure penalty to Marquez for coming in at more than 144 pounds, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer said.

Schaefer said the contract the fighters signed in May was for the bout to be at a limit of 147 pounds. But in that contract, each man agreed to a substantial penalty clause for every pound, or fraction thereof, more than 144.

    Read. Thanks.

That is why there was issues with the weight.

The 3 pounds wont mean much , more important though is PBFs actual weight come fight time.

I suspect PBF will rehydrate up to 154 -156 and JMM will only go up to about 145 146.

Floyd has never weighed 154. He looks exactly the same as when he fought Baldomir.

Yes, but you need to be fair and put things into perspective, from both sides of the coin. PBF had the right to not make 144 but its still a non official moral code to try and make 144 for your opponent and all the fans' respect...

I am very disappointed he didn't make 144.

But he had every right to not.

Go look at the weigh in photos. Are you going to tell me Floyd is huge compared to Marquez?

Marquez arms, shoulders, chest, all look bigger.

At least in the upperbody, they look identical.

    you're trapped

you have to admit Floyd is bigger or Floyd got very lazy in training camp

    which is it?

Are you blind? JMM looks very small compared to FMJ in those pictures.

Plus, JMM looks unnaturrally bulked, wrinkled / muscles looks unbalanced especially on the tummy part. FMJ looks very natural.

I admit Floyd is bigger but not by much.

The size difference is people acting like he is the size of Margarito fighting Marquez.

They look nearly equal standing next to each other.
