Of course I have. I have followed boxing for 30 years, and Kessler is no cornerstone in my boxing experience.

If I knew Ward had the arsenal to beat Kessler I would say so. And all who know me know this is true.

I just call it as I see it, and I am pretty good at calling fights - because I don't let bias get in the way.

I know this is going to **** OFF the Euros. But...between me and you, people from Oakland can scrap just due to being from Oakland. Hard people come from Oakland. It's not biased, it's true....and not what the Euros want to hear.

Wow...GREAT breakdown and analysis. This completely changes the way I'll watch this one. You've probably followed boxing for YEARS. I've never seen anyone breakdown the sweet science so elegantly. Your post shows the poetic ability of Merchant and Kellerman while proving you know the technical side like Lewis or Steward. Great job! Somebody will likely be looking for you to work their corner or at least start calling fights after a brilliant post like that, if not already. No WAY that kind of talent goes unnoticed.

No one is talking about Ward sucks. It would be idiocy to say so.

I am very happy for any new blood in SMW with talent, and Dirrell and Ward are such people, and I wish them all the best long after the tournament is over.

This being said - it is then pretty obvious that you are biased since you are a huge admirer of Ward, so you follow him in the gym. It's okay in my book that you root for your guy, hope he can pull it off. But this is all it is - not your vast boxing knowledge.

Maybe study Kessler a bit more?

No one huh? Read back over. And yes, I'm sorry if I am keeping my knowldege on boxing limited to just Ward and Kessler on a WARD VS. KESSLER thread. How silly of me. I would NEVER claim a fighter I know well would win over a fighter I know nothing of. I'm familiar with Kessler. I have several Kessler fights on tape. My objectivity may have gone out the window at this point due to the biases and name calling thrown at me over the course of this thread by Kessler fans....who are actually the ones not familiar with one of these two fighters.

Really, because you come across as a just another nationalistic fan who thinks Kessler and his skill at garbage disposal makes him indestructible. Who has Kessler beaten the has what Ward brings to the table? No one, so how is it totally unreasonable to think he stands a chance? You do realise it was another fast slick southpaw that took Kessler's "0" dont you?

You say you're unbiased, but your inability to acknowledge Ward contradicts that.

I don't care about outbursts from ignorant people, it was my way of saying that I am not one of those people. And you are generalizing on fans of Kessler. Furthermore I am not asking you to go out of the bounderies of Kessler and Ward, but to remove your bias. How did you come to that conclusion from my post?

I understand how these flame wars can make your objectivity get thrown out of the window - and a good reason why I really don't post on this site anymore. This is has turned into 90% flamewars, and 10% boxing knowledge. Its drenched with bias, and I fully understand your stance.

This thread has gone to ****...so it is very difficult to determine the difference between reasonable and unreasonable Kessler fans at this point. I have personally broken this fight down several times and have made sure to put an honest effort in backing my statements with facts. The result has simply been name calling and insults, to which I have replied with name calling and insults. I think Ward is very underrated. This topic has been beaten to death. I started a thread titled "Why Ward Is Being Overlooked" if you're seriously interested in any Ward backers' opinions. As to why Ward will beat Kessler....it's only going to cause people to take snipes.

Because I think Ward has no chance of winning? Should I say the same to you then - that you come across as a nationalistic fan?

It is pretty apperant that you like many other ignorant posters ask for who has he beaten card. Names don't make fights. Skill and style does. But to answer your question: He beat Mundine who has the same handspeed as Ward, which is Wards premiere strength. And Kessler has beaten several southpaws, people of different styles, unorthodox fighters to the same end result - total annihilation. As I said priorly - I think this is too soon for Ward - and given his number of fights, and the skillsets of these, it is very fair to say that this is a huge step up from anything Ward has done in the past - wouldn't you agree?

Joe is/was head and shoulders above Ward, and alot of other fighters as well. Furthermore he has so many things going for him that Ward doesn't have; versatility, tenacity, experience, and above all a chin. Joe and Ward doesn't fight the same way, and never will.

So I am biased because I don't think Ward has a chance, other than the small percentage there always should be for freak occurences, like a lucky punch?

This has nothing to do with nationalistic bias, but who is the better and more polished fighter as it is right now. This is not about hate for Ward or love for Kessler. Kessler could be from Mars, and my stance would be the same.

You fight the good fight. I did the same for Kessler and other overlooked fighters in the past. You can convince the openminded, but their numbers are few, because most see what they wanna see.

Could you link me? I hate wade through 1000s of flamebaits, even if I did - I didn't find any analysis in this thread.

I my humble oppinion us "Eurobum-fans" will have done enough analysis of the fight and I will talk again about this fight when it´s actually there. I just hope that after the fight all the "Oakland toughguys" will have enough balls left to talk. :)
