Dear David. Like it or not, Kessler is with good reason a favorite in this tournament. You can ask danes, americans, boxers, promoters, anyone with boxing knowledge of no bias.

So, are you suggesting, that danes should think less of Kesslers abilities, just so they aren't accused of nationalistic bias? Is it their fault that Kessler is a boxing elite? Did they make him this? No, they did not.

Had Kessler been american, we would not have this debate. Why should we have it because danes and their fighters are in minority? Why are we considered less trustworthy in our word, when the fights speak for themselves.

Kessler has beaten several champions - former or present at the time, and THE only one that tried to unify all the important belts. And have done so in a superior way - more superior than Ward has. And against more proven fighters.

So tell me, why is it nationalistic bias, when Kessler already is a huge favorite? Since your boxer is the underdog, it is safe to say that you are the one hoping for the miracle here.

I agree that Kessler is a very good fighter, but you are crowning him the super six champ way too soon. Must I remind you about what happened the last time Kessleer made the trip away from home and stepped up in comp against a light hitting southpaw with a very tricky style? Kessler was even hurt to the body in that fight by a very light hitting Calzaghe. I agree that Ward has yet to be truly tested, but I wouldnt call him a work in progress. He doesnt have any glaring weaknesses, and I cant see anything that Kessler does that will complicate his preparation for this fight. With that being said, I think its a 50/50 fight.

Strangely, bookmakers based in other countries than Denmark appear to also favour Kessler though. Even those in the US! How can we explain this?

I'm going with Andre Ward ... he's the one with the most to lose and he's the one who's expected to win this fight, despite whatever Kessler has accomplished ... Ward has international experience ... he's a decorated amateur and the undefeated pro ... he has more upside, younger, better technical/fundamental skill, and the one who's the most confident.

Kessler hasn't been out of Denmark much and his last loss came outside of Denmark and his next fight is in Cali ... so i'm oging to go with Ward.

Oh dear, are you comparing Joe Calzaghe with the fighters of this tournament? Joe could have broken both hands and beaten all of them save Kessler this way. This forum is getting more stupid by each day.

50/50 fight. Are you fricking insane? A proven veteran with 12 years at pro boxing under his belt, only loss to an undefeated 20+ time champ away from home in front of 50k screaming welshmen otherwise flawless victories against top rank fighters of SMW, against an up-and-coming nearly untested fighter whose biggest match is against Miranda? You crack me up.

And what reason should there be for him not to be the favorite of this tournament?

You sound f**kin crazy ... 22 wins all by KO ... 2-divisions ... 2 world championships and "no" losses on his resume.

This guy is the "x-factor" in the lower weight divisions and once the commissions get it right with his license and the US gets it right with his work visa ... people are going to see a future p4p star ... and his power (unlike another southpaw little guy) can carry him far ... he has one punch power, speed, and can break you down through accumulation.

    Peace

Yes, we shall. I am not the gloating type, so I will not come and gloat.

Hope it will be a lesson. Miranda lost to two middleweights. Devastatingly. One of which is a clumsy wide open pugilist.
