Just as i had suspected.. it seems like no bars are showing the Mayweather fight. And why should they? It costs them like half as much to show a UFC.

I think a lot of boxing fans will be surprised when the numbers come out.

Thats a lie, plenty of bars are showing the fight. It depends up the geographic. If its more urban then you will likely get the Mayweather fight. If there are more predominantley white males going to the bar you'll likely show UFC.

I honestly heard that no bars were showing the UFC. I really want to watch the boxing. Everyone here in the household is more interested in the UFC though. Therefore, I'll watch the UFC. Boxing seems to do a better job at hyping up their fights though.

yes its demographics that are important, where i live in austin, they are showing mayweather, but if you hit the burbs and rural areas they are showing ufc......

it shows that the audience for boxing is more diverse just like arum said...

I can settle this matter guys.Go to www.canadastarboxing.com.Canadastar is Canada's premier closed circuit PPV company and broadcasts events to the bar network.
Facts don't lie.In Canada,at least,it shows approx 1500 bars showing UFC and about 50 bars showing Mayweather.I suspect the US will follow suit.In the US go to www.joehandpromotions.com for their bar network location list.
    Read it and weep!:hi:

My city hasn't shown a boxing ppv since Lewis-Tyson, but about 6-8 bars have been showing UFC and the number has been growing.

Well, the numbers are out. Boxing had twice as many PPV buys as UFC. I'm a boxing fan. I'm not surprised.

So UFC fans celebrate the fact that more bars showed the UFC fight? What does that mean anyway? More UFC fans go to bars?

I dont know what your so exicted about ? You put boxings biggest star BY FAR agianst an average UFC card where the main event was featuring guys I love but a guy in Franklin who wasnt a top 5 fighter and Belfort who hadnt been in the UFC in 5 years. Its a no brainer for alot of people who are sucked into the hype you buy the bigger fight. Both cards sucked ass so I dont think anyone truely won.
