Joe Calzaghe and the Klits can sell out football stadiums in Europe. The reason they aren't as repsected over here is because they aren't Americans. If they were it would be different.

1st of all Mayweather is obliged to fight everybody who says his name just becasue they want to get paid. Maywether chose to fight for a title over Margarito who bought nothing to the table. Do u undertsand that?

I alos see u didn't answer my question as to why it was ok for Mosley not to step up when mayweather called him out, live on HBO.

Pavlik is american and i see plenty of threads on here about how much ppl thinks he sucks. I agree with you that some of the hate that pbf gets is unnecessary, but please dont bring race into it. Even if thats what you truely feel, it doesnt make you any better than the ppl that you are accusing of being racist. Two wrongs definately dont make a right.

Muhammad Ali was selling out everywhere in the world...including the US and he was black. He was trash talking and all but he always backed up his words against the best all the time!

marquez has the NATURAL frame of a 130 fighter.....he has to pack on muscle mass to go up in the weights as it is for every fighter....and even yesterday he was carrying excess baggage to do so....then berstain has said marquez is barely 5'7 while floyd is nearly 5'9 now add shoes to the equation......along with floyd's reach advantage....like i said this is boxing, i'm not going to say oh they shouldn't fight.....but can see why people would say there is a significant size advantage.....

floyd could have easily fought any top WW after hatton but he went into retirement......margarito, and cotto have called him out, and when mosley offered to fight, floyd's answer was "hes not a big enough draw".....please floyd fight a WW....

Because Shane is a warrior and fights the absolute best, to his own safety or not. It's undisputed and you'd be a fool to call Shane a cherry picker.

You haven't answered my question...Winky Wright? Margarito, who practically made a career out of calling Floyd out?

Not only did Margarito not bring anything to the table, but it was pretty clear he wasn't even on the same level as Floyd. Mayweather flat out told him to brush up on his game if he even wants a chance. So what does Margariot do then? He starts CHEATING to gain W's, and then gets exposed big time.

Floyd called that one from a mile away. Margarito was NEVER on the same level as Mayweather.

Mayweather is head and shoulders above Pavlik in terms of skill and talent. pavlik earned good hard fought wins over jermain Taylor and i genuinely respect that, but he got exposed bad by bernard Hopkins.

Indeed he is a good fighter. But is the case of Floyd Mayweather really the first one in the history of sports or entertainment where the persons personality counts towards their popularity, not just their talent? Did Frank Bruno and Ricky Hatton get their huge fan babses in the UK just because of talent? No, it was largely because they have the kind of down to earth everyman persona people over here like. If Muhammed Ali had been some really boring, charisma free guy, would people remember him as well as they do today?

It's a fact, athletes/singers/actors/politicians careers often depend not just on how much talent they have, but on how much people like them. And Mayweather isn't likeable to the majority of people. How can any man who works hard every day for a few hundred a week really like a guy who throws hundred dollar bills up in the air like they're nothing?

And although Sugar Shane isnt the biggest draw, he is probably one of the most respected boxers in the game by ppl of all races.

You have any idea how many people went to see him fight because they wanted to see his draft-dodging, big-mouthed, cheating ass knocked out?

Yea but if it was all about race then white ppl would have jumped on the "Kelly Pavlik was sick" bandwagon. Instead they took it for what it was, an exposion. And he was fighting a fighter that many white ppl feel is a racist. I just dont see how race plays into this at all.

How is Marquez a natural 130 fighter when he weighs in on fight night at 141 for a 130 fight. A natural fighter is omebody like Mayweather who fights at 147 and weighs in at 146 on fight night like he did for Judah.
