U completely missed the logic in my point. If u put on 11lbs after a weigh in' then thatis not ur natural weight. If u don't put on any weight after a weigh in or only a couple of pounds, then thats is your natural weight. the fact that Guys like Pac and Marquez balloon so much after weigh ins, shows that they were nto fighting at their natural weight, but that they were weight cutting so that they could compete in a divison 2 weight classes below what they were weighing naturally.

80% of the people that hate him listen only to the media and dont care much about boxing unless they see knocout its pretty simple. The other 20% hate that he has taking a 2 year break before coming and fight the WW and hate his mouth...

but your missing the overall point it still doesnt change the fact both marquez and pacquiao are not true WW like floyd.....marquez still had to add on muscle to go up, its no walk in the park, and if he goes back down in weight it could harm his physical condition.....

floyd was eating twizzlers, yes ****ing twizzlers days before the weigh-in....

Did u even read my post? Ur regurgitating the same stupid argument that other haters say. i clearly showed that on many occasions mayweather has been the smaller man and that he deosnt weight cut like other fighters so he can compete in lighter divisons.

If you make the weight without any problems, yes it is, regardless of how many pounds you put on afterwards.

Fight night weight means very little - people have put on more weight on fight night at a higher weight class than they did when fighting the weight class below. It's a **** barometer of....well, anything.

    I'll say it again boxsensei,

I answered your question on Shane and Margo. What about Winky Wright? You can't call Shane out for getting free passes when you give free passes to your own boy.

I answered ur question on Margo and Shane. All i saying with Shane, is why is it that when he turned down a fight with Floyd it was ok, but When Floyd declines to fight him its a duck.

\Fight night weight means very little? tell that to Joey Gamache. Fight nigth weight is what weight the fightes are actually going to be competing at. Weigh ins just allow for fighters tho show their weight cutting skills. On fight night they're going to be well rested, well fed, and well hyrdrated to be prepared for 12rds of combat. Thats when their going to be in their natural state.

to some extent that's true....but most 130 pound fighters come-in at 140-143 on fight night......WW on fight come in from 149-157 most of the time.....you see the imporatnce of the weight classes you fight at?

Cut the crap, athletes drain weight to make a specific weight class in most sports where there are weight classes. People whine about it in boxing because they like to find excuses for whatever agenda they have.

There's a reason there's a weigh-in the day before. No-one is breaking any rules, it's a part of the sport, and there's ****-all wrong with draining down.

Answer this question: If fight-night weight was actually a decent barometer of size, why:

    a) Do can certain fighters, like PBF and Soliman, weigh less on fight-night than they did on the day of the weigh in, but not make the weight class below? (Don't even think for a single second that Soliman could have made light-middle when he fought Winky Wright....)

    b) Why have there been cases of people who have moved up in weight class put on more weight on fight night when fighting at the higher weight? If fight-night weight meant what people say it means, surely the fighters in question would have rehydrated quicker when they were fighting at the lower weight class?

As for the Joey Gamache/Gatti, Gatti's corner got him to jump of the scale when it was still moving, and pushed Gamache away so he and his corner couldn't see anything. That weigh-in was very, very seriously shady.

And like I said, Shane always fights the best win or lose, even when he knows he's terribly mismatched (like against Forrest and Wright), so people cut him some slack based on his career history. The same can't be said for Floyd, which is why he gets all the hate around here that he does. And not only that, he talks a big game but doesn't bring it in the ring the same way that Shane does.

Ok but the bottom line is that guys like Marquez and especially Pacquiao had damn near the same fight night weight as Mayweather when he was was fighting at welterweight and they were fighting at 130. Pac weighed in at 145 for a 130 fight. Thats means Pacquiao weighed one pound less than May even though Mayweather was fighting 3 divisions higher.
