that's funny, hatton took a swipe at floyd saying all his opponents were carefully chosen including him....
You can't say Hatton and Marquez were hand picked, they both called Floyd out. Though I would like him to fight an actual WW, hasn't happened since Baldomir.
Yeah Hatton, because we all know a prime Gatti batters Floyd into submission. :-(( He doesn't realize it, but coming in at welterweight was a benefit to Hatton. Notice how right after the Floyd fight, he drained back down to 140 for Lazcano and looked like garbage, almost being KO'd, then gets his face battered by the feather-fisted Malignaggi. (Just like Oscar getting bruised up by Forbes at 150 after cutting weight) Floyd KO's Hatton 10 times out of 10. This idiot still thinks he would have beat Floyd if he drained down to 140. Hatton's healthier at 147, but the competition is better and he can't overwhelm them with his wrestling tactics like he can at 140. Now regarding Oscar... Oscar was game, with a 20lb weight advantage in the ring. That version of Oscar would have walked over Hatton like a rag-doll. Hatton needs to STFU
Hatton knows it. He said something that affect several times when he was stepping up to face him. He basically said yeah I know I'm fighting at a disadvantage but if you want to be great you have to take risks. The guys whom Floyd picks know they get picked because Floyds team thinks he has some angle or something but they take the fight because getting paid a lot of money and having the chance to make history are what these guys fight for.
I don't see what calling people out are being hand pick have to do with each other. Its not like being a hand picked opponent means that you didn't want to fight floyd. Its more like he's hand picked guys from the pool of people that were calling him out.
Its funny hearing Hatton saying Gatti and Oscar were past it. I guess he thinks he fought Kosta Tzuyu and Castillo in their primes.
Except Hatton turned Floyd down 5 times at 140lbs according to his own father and weighed more in the ring. Lets also not forget Mosley and Margarito have both turned down fights with Floyd over the years
I will say this. After fighting a junior welterweight and a lightweight in his last two fights at welterweight, Floyd needs to step to someone his own size next time. Unless of course, it's Pacquiao.
