If Ricky wasn't shot aginst him he'd have dismantled Floyd and played a meaningful role in todays welterweight circus. Believe me -- with a prime, physical champion exerting his dominance Marquez and Pac would have thought twice about moving up. If he could handle Kostya Tszyu, I don't think it's unreasonable to say he would be more than a handful for the two weight-hopping featherweights. I don't think it would have happened at all, though -- after Hatton had taken out an old DLH there would have been no cherry to pick, and they'd have happily stayed where they belong. Mayweather couldnt make Hatton look foolish (minus his head slamming into the turnbuckle). Hatton also took 3 rounds from FMJ at 147 and Loche isnt as fast, isnt as good defensively. Hatton matches up well with defensive fighters as he lies on their chest and throws so many shots. Hatton is stronger and brings pressure Loche hadnt seen outside of Ortiz who most had beating him. I think Loche edges a UD as Ricky isnt as good as Ortiz
Locche, because no matter how hard Hatton tried, he'd never land a head shot, and would have to aim for Locche's arms and chest, which, if you recall, Locche would defend exceptionally well, too. Locche wins all 15 rounds.
The video would show up as a permanent feature on YouTube..as testament to Nicolino Locche's genius as a magical defensive master. He would make Ricky look like a complete fool..and frustrate him into one of his biggest postfight drinking and eating binges ever.....it would probably be a shutout and maybe end before the 15th, like Lochhe's title winning bout against the valiant, but completely neutralized Paul Fuji.
