LOL...man as far as the weight goes. floy NEVER SAID the fight was at 144. the media said it. juan knew days before the weigh in floyd wasnt gonna be 144. did you see floyd? the guy was shredded! we've never seen him that lean, and thats saying a lot! so obviously he took training seriously. ever think maybe he didnt have an extra 2lbs to cut?? maybe thats why he never signed for 144 in the first place? theres no exact science to making weight. i guess you would have rather him come in depleted and cheat the fans by giving a dela-hydrated performance, and and cut his career short.. that wouldve been the smarter thing, right?? the funny thing is, anybody who knows boxing knows floyd isnt gonna beat juan because he's bigger. he's just better than juan. they couldve weighed in at 144, it wouldnt matter..
If you don't wanna buy the card don't....but you'll be missing out on a HELL of a CARD...I don't understand how ANY TRUE fan of the sport could be saying some of the **** you guys are. Yeah....go watch has been Franklin fight has been Belfort if you aren't a real boxing fan.
I know right Mayweather Destroying the man that many beat Pac twice..a tune up fight!...and people say he is ducking people...atsch
While I realize PBF is a gym rat I would imagine being off for a couple of years, and being just a tad older, might contribute to being a little heavier than prior experience would indicate. It is naive and disingenuous to say that a SIGNIFICANT weight advantage "is just an excuse that *****'s use". Why bother w/weight divisions if that were the case? Why shouldn't PBF move up to Heavyweight and dominate w/his amazing skills then? Bottom line: we've got a smallish Lightweight, who is past his prime physical peak and far out of his prime weight category--spent the majority of his career below 130--taking on a natural Welter who should be taking on BIGGER guys, not SMALLER ones. While I think JMM is great, this is a HORRIBLE fight for him. If, by some miracle, he wins, he is a legend.
Didn't say PBF wasn't more talented or that his style doesn't give him an advantage, just pointing out some OBVIOUS advantages he has over the smaller and older JMM.
Him beating JMM (who didn't beat Pac once, let alone twice) has nothing to do w/his history of ducking guys. IMO, a major reason he 'retired' was because he wasn't gonna be able to dodge some of the other top Welters any longer. JMM giving Pac two very tough fights, and getting the LW crown made him a legitimate enough opponent for PBF to fight; typical low-risk/high-reward fight for PBF. It is a joke that people think this guy has done enough to warrant being mentioned as the GOAT.
