Since you ****ing use black text on black backgrounds, it's a little hard to read. There are only a few just a few not many who recognize his talent. And I don't mean to offend you but I think you reasons why Mayweather should not be hated is ****ing ridiculous. I will tell you why Floyd Mayweather is hated. 1.) He is a ****ing jack ass.He harasses almost everyone he faces. He is full of himself and looks down on others. 2.) Regardless of his talents, it's arguable that he did DUCK some fighters. (Cotto, Mosley, and Margo- say what you will about him, but Mayweather did refuse a fight with him.) 3.) He is right now fighting a lightweight, yes JMM is a ****ing light weight! I know that JMM is the consensus P4P 2 but he is still a lightweight. He could've fought Mosley or any welter but he wants to fight a smaller man. Hell he could've fought Pacquiao but he made up a reason why he shouldn't Pacquiao and that reason is "Pacquiao has already lost... blah blah blah got out boxed by Morales.... and got KO twice... blah.." He was asked to fought Cotto, Margo, and Mosley. His excuse was "Those guys beat each other already and they haven't been Floyd Mayweather." Truly ridiculous. 4.) It's funny that you brought up Pacquiao-JMM. Pacquiao weigh 144 (not 146) during the fight night and JMM 141-2(I think). 5.) Now he's getting his ass burn because of the weigh-in yesterday. He ****ed up! The decided weight was 144 (the weigh-in contract was changed the day before the weigh to 147) but he showed up at 146! Everyone was expecting the fight to be at 144 not at 147. I believe that he declared that he was already at 146 on May when the fight was announced. That was either a lie or he didn't really try to get to 144.
I tell you whats irrational that Mayweather fans think they can defend this guy from the valid criticisms that are leveled at him.
I completely agree with you. You read my response wrong as I was only paraphrasing what Mayweather himself said.
people dont like mayweather bc: he's a jackass he's arrogant he compares himself to legends and he hasn't even fought the best of his era he disrespects great fighters like Sugar Ray Robinson and Ali he acts like a 12-year-old with a lot of money
Yea im black you ****in dummy and im not makin it seem like he's notorious at not makin weight moron. I just mean in this instant. And as far as fights go, just because someone calls you out does that mean you have to fight them? If ****in Vic Darchinian called him out should he fight him? Hell no. Im not knockin floyd one bit because he is the best fighter in the world imo. All im sayin is he comes off as someone who is afraid to take risks. If he wants to be considered the best to all those ppl who doubt him he has to fight the best.
lets just call it like it is. no matter what happens, people are angry that floyd is fighting somebody they know he can beat. whether he made 144 or not. i seriously dont see how 2lbs would make any difference. floyd isnt shane or margarito. he doesnt gain 15lbs after the weigh in. he only gains about 4lbs his entire career.. so does it really matter? he's only gonna rehydrate to about the same size he was gonna rehydrate to if he was 144.. but the truth is, people were hoping that he made 144, and was dehydrated, so maybe he could lose. after all, thats the only chance floyd has of losing this fight. if he's incredibly rusty, or dehydrated.. but now that he's 146, rusty is ur only hope. lol
Lol at this fool getting emotional , the Hatton fight is what everyone wanted to see, you can fool yourself into thinking Floyd "cherry picked" that fight but the fact is Hatton made the move to 147 and CHALLENGED FLOYD, secondly what about the Oscar fight? Oscar called all the shots and Floyd was forced to move up just like Marquez has but funny how no-one said a damn thing about Oscar back then  , imo a true African American boxing fan would see the blatant unadulterated hate Floyd gets from those who can't seem to handle a black man speaking his mind (and being flashy) and cut him a little slack, clearly you don't subscribe to that logic.
Emotional huhaint nobody wastin they time on yo dumbass...I aint even hatin on the man like i said he is one of my favorite fighters. Im just statin the obvious. Like i said he is the best imo but his legacy is gonna suffer from it until he steps up. I believe in my heart that he would beat the likes of Cotto and Mosley and the rest of the welters if he faught them, but the question is IF.
The unchanged version was well enough on point. Of course it is the reason for a very large portion on ESB. If we could gather the "demographics" of the posting population it would substantiate why there are so many clueless posts and absurd poll results. This site is somewhere close to 90-99% "white" . It has a significant "white" European component and a large "white" American one. The small portion attributable to other groups is far less here than in the sports world generally. [And since this is an English language site half the world is effectively ruled out right from the start.] Ask yourself how many athletes would take a portion of their spare time to post on a website like this (almost none). Then ask yourself how many "African-American" or "African-European" athletes would take the time (almost none). Then ask yourself how many "African-American" or "African-European" non-athletes would spend a substantive amount of their free time posting about boxing (it is obviously a pretty minute group comparatively). Then ask yourself how many polls and fighter comparisons seem completely ****ing idiotic on ESB (more than half). Try and read the posts and discern the probable backgrounds of the majority of posters with thousands upon thousands of posts. There is an abundance of couch-potato armchair wearing chip-munching soda-drinking non-athletic frustrated bigoted "boxing" fans spending their lives posting on ESB. [With deference to those (exceptional) non-bigoted older and few younger posters (especially if they had or have some modicum of athletic talent and ability) who actually love boxing and can discern the difference between real talented fighters/athletes and merely good ones.] Is there really any reason to believe otherwise? In the US (consisting of 2 "whites" out of every 3 people), does anyone really believe that because Obama was elected we have achieved some Pollyannaish post-racial society? Well, the statistical majority on ESB (9/10 "white") is far, far more dominant and correspondingly less restrained. Do you doubt that racism is one of the driving forces behind the embellishment and hype of some decent fighters/modest athletes while adamantly ignoring whether or not they fought in a weak era or division or were the beneficiaries of careful or "opportune" matchmaking - especially when they basically trolled the years away in one single weight class for a career? Does one really need to wonder if racism is one of the driving forces behind the relentless attacks upon Tyson, Mayweather, Toney, Hopkins, Bowe, or a Peter, Miranda, McClellan, etc., etc., etc. Was Carter incorrect when he said last week, "there is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president"? For many white Americans, Barack Obama is nothing more than that black guy in the White House, and they want him out of there. On ESB, there is the same predictable attempt to denigrate a "black" boxer that doesn't attempt to fit the desired "profile" of modesty and decorum. It is evident in that SSM and JT are less likely to be attacked unless it relates purely to boxing - as in JT's case - than Floyd would be for other non-boxing "extracurricular" representations. In the US, there was Sherri Goforth, an aide to a Republican state senator in Tennessee sending out a mass e-mail of a cartoon showing dignified portraits of the first 43 presidents, and then representing the 44th President Obama as a spook, a cartoonish pair of white eyes against a black background. The times may be comparatively better but the deep-seating beliefs and feelings are still quite evident. Some want to pretend that racism is not an out-and-out big deal in the United States just as they would on ESB. But, it is as it has always been. There has been progress but the biases of the prior generation(s) still gets passed down to the kids. And, there is an abundance of kids and young people on ESB. So it is not a mystery, man. Floyd is not fitting well enough or attempting to fit an acceptable profile of a "good" African-American and it is a big factor in the grief he receives on ESB. It is not a factor elsewhere because professional boxing is simply not as popular and not that popular compared to the somewhat recent past. Few Americans are wondering why Floyd is disliked or less popular (than prior greats) because boxing is almost completely off the radar screen. The sport has been surpassed by college/pro football, college and pro baskeball, and professional baseball. No one in America cares about Floyd Mayweather. He was on the hugely popular "Dancing With The Stars". Many celebrities (who can't dance a lick) have survived on that show merely by name recognition. Floyd didn't have that fame to make a difference (basketball and football players are often more well known - especially if it were a Jerry Rice or Emmitt Smith). The "hatred" for Floyd is more apparent on a website like this due to its specific demographics. In the bigger picture, it don't mean a damn thing. It isn't going to affect Floyd's wallet, his ability to make a living, or the possibility of him fighting in a highly anticipated event (such as against Pacquaio). If he were a smallish "white" guy who had jumped multiple divisions and still done rather well (even if he didn't clean out 100% of all possible opposition) it would be overlooked and he would be lauded on ESB for his obvious ring accomplishments. In the 60s, icons like Clay/Ali, Hendrix, and MLK were HATED. Only time has made it politically incorrect to easily state what a MAJORITY in the US would still say behind closed doors. Of course, this isn't limited to the US. And, it isn't only between "whites" and "blacks". For example, you get the same thing in Asian countries about their own minorities. It is also true in most if not all other countries. But, it is clear that the under-represented catch a lot of flack on ESB - and it is especially amazing when you consider how successful "African-Americans" are in athletics relative to their numbers within the overall population. A good number of frustrated unhappy bigots on ESB are using this site as a place to vent. It causes many of us to get caught up in the same circle or cycle of posts to try and offset the absurdity they read when looking to hear something merely about boxing in and of itself.
