Floyd Mayweather is an outrageous example of all that is wrong with boxing.

I've stayed pretty quiet on Mayweather/Marquez. Now that it is over I'll speak my mind.

I did not buy the PPV because I will not contirbute a penny to Mayweather. If he actually had the balls to fight a top welterweight, I'd probably buy the fight, but tonight he fought a 36 year old featherweight, and that is classic PBF; find a guy with a big name you know you have every advantage over, and dupe your fans into shelling out their hard earned money.

By tomorrow we will be hearing all about Mayweather being P4P numero uno, when the truth is all he did was beat up a much smaller man who is way past his prime. Classic Mayweather.

Mark my words; if Cotto beats Pac, Mayweather will make excuses about how Cotto isn't a big enough star, and fight Pac anyway. Floyd Mayweather jr does not fight guys who can stand on equal ground with him because he is a little ***** with a big mouth.

his lack of heart has not gone unoticed. jmm could do little against floyds speed and floyd still lacked the heart to go for the kill. too much fear in him to press the issue even when you have the guy hurt.

Let him prove it. I think Floyd would probably beat Cotto as well but i want TO SEE IT HAPPEN. Not say "oh he'd beat cotto's ass."

he was off for 21 months. he wanted to fight a big name fighter as a tune up fight. now he'll just blow past everyone.

how would cotto not be a big enough star. there is no one else out there. it's pac, cotto, and mosely. that's pretty much it, the 3 biggest stars around that weight. so tell me who he's going to fight if none of them are big enough stars?

LMAO at a Pavlik fan talking about Mayweather not fighting the best in his division. Oh and maybe Pavlik will muster up some balls and fight a top man 2 weight classes below him like Williams as Mayweather just did Marquez

Let me guess, Pavlik isnt whats wrong with boxing right?

EXACTLY! Some people are missing that point. He needs to prove it in the ring. Anybody can say they are the best on paper, but he has to prove it where it matters most, in the ring.

Even if Marquez was 26 years old, it would not have made a difference. Marquez was too small, and most importantly, too slow to realistically challenge Mayweather.

Look man if he doesn't fight either Pac/Cotto or Mosley next then as a fan of his I'll be the first to criticize. For now, I think it's better that you focus on your favorite fighter, Kelly "Triple the Jab" Pavlik.

Wasn't Pavlik ready to negotiate a fight with Mayorga recently?, isn't a fight with Paul Williams looking to be off?

Newbie ALERT! "Wow spoken like a true Greenie! Hatton Fights with his hands at his waist and without a jab! Secondly, Roach stated that if Pac couldn't get Hatton out of there in 3 rounds he would be surprised! Thirdly, Roach STATED that PAC will NOT KO Cotto at all but that it will go 12!

And Cotto has "looked" awful against opponents who are Bigger than he is and HIT MUCH HARDER than PAC!

No one knew how his speed was going to be, newbies like you tend to pretend they know all after the fight is over. No one knew is Marquez is going to have power, speed or punch resistance at the weight, the actual fight is what proves it. Did anyone expect him to display power moving up to lightweight against Casamayor and Diaz?

I just hope no one shits on Marquez for this loss, the man did what something others wouldn't dare do and the guy was actually EXCHANGING at some points despite being out punched. Marquez is an ATG for this fight in my opinion and for displaying ATG balls and heart. The man was also outweighed by 2 pounds that what they were supposed to weigh at and STILL took the fight knowing EVERYONE thinks he has zero chance.
