oscar sold him out the moment he set his own eyes on pacquiao instead of keeping his promoter hat on and pursuing the 3rd fight fans were demanding.
Mosley fight is coming next if not Pacquiao and I can see the "past it" and "only fights old fighters his size!" excuses already. Paul Williams is a ridiculous fight and one Mayweather would lose in my opinion. Williams seems to be threatening the undisputed middleweight champion for ****'s sake.
As soon as Mosley's name came up Floyd was stammering.....I honestly think he doesn't want to fight Mosley. Shane has good hand speed, power in both fists, a good chin sheer strength. Unlike Forrest/Winky Floyd would not have a size/height advantage making it harder for him to establish his jab on Mosley. Every time Floyd goes back to the ropes in his shell Mosley will score. Most importantly Floyd's punch output is too low to compete with a Machine like Shane.
What? If you can't see what Mayweather is capable of providing even after 2 years out then there's a serious problem.
Not at all in fact it's a well accomplished list. I however get the impression that you perceive it to be much more than that; why else would you braggingly post his record.
I can't agree even if I tried. Williams made Margarito look small in there for crying out loud. Not only that but the man has a chin, serious speed for his size/height, serious power, insane stamina(1,000+ punches per fight), decent defense and decent skills.
You act as if people were expecting tonight's fight to be competitive. You're not that dumb Scar, in comparison to all the other Mayweather fans around the General Forum, there were no surprises tonight. Not for those who understand the technicalities of weight. Marquez is stretching it at 135lbs, he doesn't have any place north of Lightweight. Can you honestly name one elite Welterweight that you would favor Marquez to beat? Not to spoil your boys party or anything, but I believe Berto, Mosley, and Cotto all stop Marquez. What do you believe? I'd prefer it if you gave me a straight answer.
Oscar never sold him out, what kind of nonsense is that? Oscar just brought him a major fight he asked for and after the Pac loss they pushed him SO good MANY people had him above Pac as P4P#1 clearly threatening that position. That's what these guys did for him and continue to do so, Marquez knew he had to move up to get a 3rd fight with Pac anyway. After the Pac loss in the rematch his come-back was awesome and attracted a lot of attention/fans eventually leading to his mega fight. They did a good job with him and of course his training is what got him here and A class ability.
Floyd potshots him for 12 rounds, and people come in here calling Floyd a ***** and a runner. But also a winner.
I won't go far enough and say they stop him, especially not Cotto but losing to them is possible. Usually a fighter is **** on completely after any loss and that could be ridiculous, all those guys ARE NOT Mayweather to do the same or better. A special fighter can make another special fighter look terrible, it's all about styles. Pac demolishes DLH/Hatton, Mayweather struggled with DLH and Hatton gives him a tough challenge while he lasts and at least shows life in the fight and existence. Ali loses to Norton and Frazier, Foreman passes by and makes them look like journeyman quality. Styles make fights, certain fighters look different against others. I never said the fight is competitive or any of that, it went the way I expected IF Mayweather performs as he used to, thought it MIGHT be competitive if Mayweather shows rust or a loss in general ability. He got the job done as he was supposed to and expected to, now more fights are coming.
YES, Floyd did look rusty. Who is that ****ing idiot saying he couldn't see it? He better go find a different line of work.
